Either on Normal or Hard?

I died once on Normal, so I'd say a Deathless run is pretty easily obtainable.

I'm not familiar with any other TN games. What are the kinds of rewards that they typically give for a deathless run?

Does it show your death count anywhere?

Well I know in the Ninja Gaiden series they lower the difficulty if you die too much (force you into it actually), and I'm pretty sure they give you a lightsaber and some godly armor for beating the game on the hardest difficulty deathless.

(Just checked, and the benefits I'm thinking of aren't for deathless runs but holding buttons when you start new games after beating difficulties. But still the emphasis is on button combinations at the start and beating difficulties)

the 2:40/3:53 run I did a few days ago was SS deathless

there were like 10 close calls though :P I spammed charge beam on

phantoon

and managed to kill him with 6 health left...

The point is you should work on it, to make it more clear for the people browsing around. I'm sure you know what the title for a thread is there for so I won't bother explaining it. "Does beating MOM deathless unlock anything?" would be a good start IMO.

I haven't played the game all week for various reasons, but I hope to start speedrunning it later today. Don't know if I'll go back to hard mode for a long time though, so I can't help you there.
