What do you think is the hardest to find major item(s) in any hack you've played? ...Besides the Xray scope in Impossible (if I didn't take this out everyone would say it :))
Thread title:
Acclaimed Threshold
Constant Sorrows
You know, for some reason, Grapple in GD gave me a hella hard time, but I found Varia with little trouble, even though it was concealed far better. Other than that, I'd say Plasma in Limit, since it's so easy to miss and you can't go back for it later.
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
The varia suit in Reverse (haha yeah right)
It could just be my lack of exploring senses, but pretty much any item in Redesign. More specifically, Gravity suit. Took me a little over 4 months.
Almost happy
The gravity suit in gravy was a bitch, it took me hours of playing until I found out that to unlock a grey door you had to kill a lot of respawning pipe bugs. Seriously that was evil.

I can see why that would be difficult; i guess I never thought about items in my own hacks because I knew where they all were.

Another item that I think other people found difficult: The X-ray scope in Gravy.

Though that one was supposed to be a lot harder than it was I think, due to that door glitch which let you enter the are much more easily.
Plasma Beam in Limit makes me cry.
Annoying
Anyone who can hack can make any item the hardest to get, I mean, when you hack you can make anything you want out of the origonal file nintendo sent you.
Green-Kirby, ROAR!
Vario in GD! I even had to ask BT a few times befor I understod where the hell it was! :/  ...not nice.
I have to agree with Varia on GD, that is the one that made me quit the hack and never return to it.

Is there another way to get the x-ray besides the door glitch? I thought it was the meant method. I did not find it hard, but I agree there must be a lot of people who do. It is a very nice item to get in Gravy.
Hardest to find -- Probably varia in GD.  Screw attack was hard to find in GD too.
Hardest to get -- Hands down plasma in Limit.  Still never done it.
I'd probably say wave beam (if that counts) in dependence. I never found it and had to glitch through all gates that seemed to require it.

edit: this is in addition to my final score being 94%, max in dependence was like 97% or something if I'm not totally mistaken?

Yeah, If you look against the far right wall of Mt Doom, up top below the door, there's a morph ball tunnel that leads to a secret door. Because you have to be a morphball to enter the door, it puts you below the barrier guarding the x-ray. That was the intended method, but you crazy people cheated past it.

Oh my god, this is crazy! If it wasn´t for that glitch, I bet people would have searched for that one for a long long time. Has anyone got the x-ray with the meant method on their first time? It is so cool to find out things months after the actual gameplay.
I don't even remember how I got X-Ray in Gravy.  I really need to play it again sometime.
I found the "correct" way to get the x-ray, but only when I used the x-ray to find it.  :D

Ha ha ha. Yeah, pretty bad. How many varia suits do you find in Reverse? I can't remember.

Sadly for me. The worst is tube missiles in Impossible. I've rarely used ice beam glitching.

At least 3
It seems the creator of Reverse found it amusing to use them for centering purposes to get you through impassable barriers. I remember the first time I saw one of those; I was like "Wtf why is he giving me another Varia?"  laugh new
