Yakuza's a zazabi if you don't know the tricks.

I agree. First time though i got stuck at him and got all pissed. I still got pissed when i didn't  know how to use the space jump and the bateries when out.

(responding to saber...sarcastically) No, im pretty sure Yakuza is more similar to a spider.

(responding to the whole quote) True. Took me around say 5-10 tries with random shooting, then finally beat him. After looking around here for a while, took me at least 2-5 battles to beat him. It was still a little bit of random shooting, but with more strategy involved Wink .

All one of it, huh? :P

I agree that it was difficult, but I don't think I can call it the hardest boss.

Yeah, only took me around 3 tries to figure it out. Takes a lot of good timing, and mad plasma shooting to beat him. Nothing really major though. Both B.O.X.E. 's are pretty easy to beat, once you get the correct strategy in there.
I found the second one hard until I found the safe spot. :P I think even without that I had a harder time with the first, though.
What does BOX stand for anyway?
red chamber dream
Big Organic Xan.
What's a Xan? I looked it up on Wikipedia, but there's nothing on there about BOX. Or did they just make it up so they could name it BOX?
red chamber dream
It's an abbreviation for Xanthine.
Quote from Arkarian:

So in other words, 'box' stands for Big Organic Crystalline-purine Shocked . But box looks nothing like a crystal.,

I fail to see how it could be hard. I personally think it's actually easier than the first BOX fight.

Emulator; can't use more than two buttons at once.  Therefore, can't shoot missiles diaganolly.

AFAIK BOX is Bot-X. Simply so we could call it X-BOX.

I dunno, I'd say they were both the same. I found a good way to fight BOX II for 1%er's, but it sucks for speed runners because it takes ages to kill the thing.
I made a couple movies showing easy ways to beat the nettori and SA-X core Xs. The SA-X is just as stupid in Core form as normal form.

And this one is just kinda funny.

movies

a few of those make me wonder if you've seen sess's run.
No, no I haven't. But I know he didn't do the SA-X one. Besides, none of those have their own movies on the site anyway. I'm sure the shinespark ones are known, but I don't know about the Core X ones.
always move fast
afaik the thought was that those who wanted to learn speed tricks would watch speed runs.  those that are on the site are those from which several questions could potentially arise.
yeah, precedent now for new stuff on the site is some kind of large conversation on the forum or something of true significance (items skipped, etc).

that is, watching all the current speed runs is strongly recommended in addition to viewing the videos on the site.
Ok. Now I know that. I never did anything for the site before. :P

But I'm pretty sure I've never seen the Nettori Core-X trick done before.
Dude, you haven't watched Sess' run? You're missing something.

I'm missing a codec. None of the runs play in firefox, and every time I try to without remembering what happened before, firefox freezes, forcing me to end program, thereby losing all the new posts icons next to every forum.
just select "1 day" out of the "select time" thing in the upper righthand corner of the main forum page. that's what it's there for.

as for codec, it's doubtful it's anything other than quicktime or divx. reinstall both and see what happens.
i agree he sucks i spent hours and broke my gba and then bought a new 1 and killed that anoying idiot Twisted Evil
