Fusion fused you with Metroid - literally a Metroid Fusion

Super Metroid had a SUPER Metroid in it!

never noticed that before...

anyway When the Super Metroid sucked my life for the first time - I reset my SNES! I didn't know about the recharge just outside at the time, it was my first time getting there.

For annoyance - SA-X. She's killed me more times than any other boss! Why I don't know. I just always seem to have problems killing the SA-X. Omega Metroids a piece of cake but the SA-X....

It's actually very easy to get a simple pattern going that'll allow you to take out the SA-X very easily.  Screw attack around the room, charging up your beam.  Land, and wait for the SA-X to do the same.  When it does, fire and immediately repeat the sequence.
She keeps jumping into me though. The fact that she's a bit random throws me off. Will she screw attack high or low. Seems to be random to me.
I usually just screw-attack at her when she screw attacks. It hurts her quite significantly. Dude, she's hell of easy.

Oh come on, that should be obvious. Although Super Metroid is actually just Metroid with "Super", for Super NES, in front of it, still, of course the titles are contextual. They aren't going to make a Metroid Prime sequel and call it "Metroid: Sweet Cuppin' Cakes".

It's not random; the SA-X will always take the shortest path possible to reach YOU.  With this in mind, you can easily lead it to where you want it to go.
I just suck at leading her then :P
----------

Makes me wonder what MP2 will be called.
I'm usually really close to her when I shoot her, so I can shoot then jump straight over and she'll screw attack under me. If you're hanging back a bit (which I think you are), then back away further when she comes at you and lok for an opportunity to either jump over her or run under her, just don't go under the platorm on the left because you'll be trapped. Just keep moving away from her until she lands, then blast her again. I've taken her out with only getting hit once before, and that was because she space jumped into me right as I was jumping over her, so even in getting hit I still screw attacked her back.
Once I get her to transform the rest is a piece of cake...
Stand on the very top left platform and shoot down...
done.

Yeah, the transoframtion is probably the biggest let-down of a boss fight I've ever seen. Even the first time I ever saw it, I killed it without getting hit once. I just shoot then move out of it's way. I don't even know if it has an attack other than the really easy to dodge jump.
Prime, I enjoyed that fight very very much. Super Metroid is a close second.
I think Mother Brain was more of a challenge than Prime

Prime - ooo I make shockwaves with my tentacles that can easily be dodged by standing on a twig!

Mother Brain - I fire bombs, blue circular beams, Hand cannons and this eye laser than smashes you to bits!!

:D

I think that the SA-X fight was a big-ol missed opportunity.  It really makes me mad that they got so close to giving Samus an enemy that was perfectly matched with her instead of way weaker of way stronger and then and then messed it up.  I mean, Samus and the SA-X are basically equal by now, only in slightly different ways, and yet the SA-X will still hurt so by touching you.  They should have made it hard for you to hit the SA-X and then equally hard for the SA-X to hit you if you knew how to play.  I wanted to see a real duel there, instead of a bloody chase-around-the-room.  The roo should have been smaller, with no ledges or anything, to maximize the evenness.  I wanted to see Samus and SA-X dodging around each other, firing lots of shots but only th occasional one connects, fending each other off with the Screw Attack, Morphing to dodge attacks.  That would have been cool.
Metroid II. It's pretty rough. 5 Energy tanks, yep... Got smoked quite abit my first time around.  Rolling Eyes

Do you know how to Bomb the Stomach?  I think that's the way you're really supposed to beat her.
*bangs his head on the wall*

Well, I was 10 at the time.. I lost it when I was 11... So, I don't think I would of been smart enough :P

Ah, to be young and impressionable...
I voted MP, because other than ZM and the original metroid, thats the only boss Ive gotten to. And mother brain really sucked.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
:P Mother Brain's awesome.  Don't diss on the Brain.
Since Prime is the only one I've beaten...(never played any other games except Fusion, and I suck so horribly bad) I went with her. Although I'm sure Mother Brain is the best, I've never faced her.

You poor, deprived little monkey.

Heh.  The hardest one I've ever payed against (And haven't yet beaten) is the 100% final Boss on Hard Mode Zero Mission.  15% Hard Mode is probably even harder, but I'm not even trying that yet.

She was annoying to kill even with NAR PASSWORD.  (I think that the NAR stands for "Not A Real".  )
