i just figured most people never check the main site anymore, though i suppose most new people will look through it at least once.
loving low%
I think so, too.. IMO that "main page" still works so good for beginners to look into for the start, though. Many imortant or even essential tricks are listed there and the description is brilliant for most of them. So yeah, that one very unique Sesshoumaru Bomb Jump is just too sweet to let people forget it and not post a video of it in the same topic people are currently discussing on how to have a better setup for a trick that is actually of use. ^^

Did it again, recorded it this time. Also killed the first Triclops in an odd way. That'll teach it.

If you lay a bomb when you come back and kill the Triclops with it (which seems possible from any angle) the first will then blow up.

Also going into Storage Chamber was unnecessary. I did it that way because I went in the first time I saw this glitch, thought maybe I'd need to. Tried again while this vid was uploading and found it's not needed.

rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
I found a secret world in the room with the artifact of spirit. I'd upload a video but the file seems corrupt, it keeps killing my computer whenever I try to do anything with it. Anyway, it's an infinite boost SW. If you enter the room and turn to your left, there's two of those hologram monitor thingys side by side on the wall, the right one has a gap at the top large enough for the ball to fit in, and the back side of it is sticky. If you drop down there and boost for about 2-3 minutes you should get out no matter what, if you have a decent angle it should take far less speed to break out. I haven't had any time to mess around with a setup for a quick break out, I've been sort of busy this past month with irl stuff.
Edit: hey what do you know, I still had the raw recording in my recycle bin

There is certainly a better angle this could be done at that would require far less speed to break out. also this is non-TAS (on dolphin) so the boosting is horribly unoptimized.
This allows for Far Phendrana clean up to take place directly after Sun/Wave/Boost. Since you need to wallcrawl in and wallcrawl out, it seems sort of slow, inconsistent and not worth it. Though the implication of this in Metroid Prime Wii is a lot more promising due to Infinite Speed being possible without boost, which would mean you could go straight from Boost to Elder, then Spirit, then Plasma and Mines.

I also noticed that the room with Main Power bombs has moderately similar conditions to the frigate morph SW: a tight space between two walls and the floor extending past one of those walls and out of bounds. If someone wants to look into that, be my guest. The most promising spot is on the 3 boxes to the side of the door that leads to MQA.

I messed with the potential morph sw and didn't find anything. You can probably get IS here though.

Edit: Just found a spot to get "stuck" in MQA possibly allowing a completely useless IS.

Edit: Found another spot to get stuck in Mine Security Station.
Got IS in Mine Security Station.
Do cutscenes cancel IS?  I'm curious what would happen if you triggered the "wave troopers appear" cs in MSS.

So, I somehow managed to roll on water as if it was solid ground for about a second during the Flaahgra fight.

I have no clue how the hell it happened, but if I had to make a guess, it looked like I got hit as I came into contact with the water, and I was somehow able to roll on the water for a short while afterward. That's just a complete guess though with basically zero basis.

(Sorry for the weird frame jittering in the video. My local record got really fucked up somehow and I had no clue how to fix it, so I just uploaded it as is since you can still see what's going on.)

This is funny as hell, no idea why it happened. Courtesy of JaymanW.
Wait was that space pirate in a T-Pose?

A bit late but oh well.

Yep. Afaik any cutscene will do the trick.

Just don't try to pick up the Main PBs using IS unless you're looking to immediately die lol

It has to be a cutscene that warps you, which fortunately is what most cutscenes do.

Frigate bugs?

I'm pretty sure the cutscene where you defeat the ghosts in training chamber also doesn't warp you. I remember this one because before the wallcrawl, you used to jump and morph so you would have to do less boosts on the half pipe.

Yes, you're also correct about this. Good memory.

there are many cutscenes that don't warp you.

wild cutscene, mines entrance, magmor entrance , first omega pirate cutscene, cutscene when essence drops the first pool, a ton of puzzle cutscenes like magmor workstation, geothermal core, main quarry, vent shaft (first and 2nd one ), central dynamo (after you kill the invisible drone), energy core, research core (when scanning the things) and probably many more.
post-cutscene respawns need to be explicitly scripted. It's not inherent to all cutscenes at all.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
Oddly enough though, the other day I found out that the ghost cutscene in Training Chamber disables IS/lightshow (at least it does on Wii) and that cutscene doesn't respawn samus, it doesn't even unmorph her.

This is from a randomizer seed. Kinda. All items were excluded; I just wanted the Frigate Skip and HUD Pop-up Removal. Whatever's going on here can most likely be blamed on that but I figured I'd post it anyway. Its the artifact from the start of magmoor, but unnamed for some reason.
