seems like a yes based on the fact that Waterfall Cavern shows up on the minimap in blue... is that even possible in normal gameplay?

But yeah due to the way the save files work the vanilla game won't be able to load a randomizer save properly. Don't try it.
Some pretty amazing things can happen if you mess with how the save file is loaded. But yeah, I'm going to blame loading a randomizer file.

I don't know if this is known or not. Never seen it posted. Is "technically" possible to skip plasma requirement for World
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
There's another horrible variation of this that was already known, where you basically avoid a trigger on your way back from the energy tank area, and that causes the statue to not be solid in the first place (It was brought to my attention in the TAS thread) I don't think this infinite boost method was known before, though.
Yeah, I knew about that but I've never actually seen it been done before to be honest
this is weird as fuck
was just messing around in reactor core in the sunken frigate and somehow managed to obtain the gravity suit underwater effect without having the gravity suit. i wasn't really paying close attention to what i was doing so i'm not exactly sure how it happened (i also wasn't recording), but i'm 99% sure it involved the jelzap. from what i can recall, i was jumping around the upper platforms of the room, fell, and froze the second jelzap just as i was passing by it. when i regained control from the fall i was able to move freely as if i had the gravity suit. the effect was lost as soon as i left the water box, however. i can't think of anywhere where this would be useful off the top of my head (if it involves using a jelzap) but i think it's worth looking into.

Yes, this fas been documented before. It happens when you morph frame perfect as you transition the water box from reactor core to the door that connects it at the top.
i thought that's how air underwater worked. that's not what i'm talking about.

It happens if you enter through the top door, backtrack a few feet, then enter the room again. If you have a different visor equipped when you activate the glitch then switch back to the Combat Visor, you'll have the Air Underwater effect.

There's a few other places in the game you can do it, where there's overlapping/adjacent water boxes; nowhere useful though AFAIK.
i didn't realize air underwater also granted you the ability to move freely as if you had the gravity suit. i didn't think it actually had any practical usage.

also it seems to activate as soon as you unload the previous room, which coincidentally happens to be right when you're passing the second jelzap <_<

Yes, Air Underwater does this (And in Echoes as well, but it's not useful in Metroid Prime only Echoes). It can be done at any body of water you can enter from the top if I recall correctly (I've done it in Great Tree Hall before by accident).

As Miles said, you can do a sorta strafe thing as well. Both methods work
The "morph the frame you enter a water box" method only works in Echoes. And the lack of underwater gravity is caused by two overlapping water boxes. It's essentially the opposite of floaty jump, with the water depth value being below 1.25 while you're underwater so it has the normal physics.

Hrm, how could I have activated it in Great Tree Hall then? (I'm not challenging you just actually curious) because I had it happen there once before and was very confused.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
I haven't seen this before:

It's just the first glitch you activate to get floaty jump, but I entered acid/lava instead of water.

rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
I was just messing around with this door trying to get IS and I softlocked my game. Map is on the other side of the door, and Samus is too close to the ceiling to unmorph, lol. (this is in workstation/the room beside it)
Yeah, miles has showed that off on stream a few times. Weird glitch. Also how no black bars?

Please tell me someone else has experienced this before haha

red chamber dream
would this help with skipping varia, i.e. getting wave without it?

i forget if there was already a sw found in workstation
On gamecube there is already a confirmed sw with space jump, and an unconfirmed one without it.
red chamber dream
ah ok, and he's got space jump in this one too
I run this here hotel of an evening
So apparently enemies can drop 2 refills at once, if you kill them without killing them.

This was recorded on the randomizer but I've tested it on the original non-randomized game and it still works
Yes it's not a glitch but intended gameplay, happens in Research Lab Something and Suntower Access as well
