re: Artifact Temple SW halfpipe; I actually once made my way from the Gully SW (next to Landing Site) in my early months of Sequence Breaking Metroid Prime. C.f. I just couldn't make that BSJ in Landing Site.
Oh such nice memories with my 1st wallcrawling experiences. As I finally made it to that "Impact Crater", I passed the time for like an hour just trying to get out of the "halfpipe" with boosting like crazy but I didn't make it.

re: Space Pirate Fail; lol how those AI's are programmed sometimes?! I don't know but it' also in PPC sometimes that stuff with the pirates gets messed up.

Watch at around 13:40 to 14:15. I still have never seen that way perofrmed in order to NEGATE that effect that occurs when you unmorph with IS activated. Might perhaps lead to some novelty. Was that already known? idk really, just thought I'd share considering this topic has been bumped twice just recently.
Was the lightshow cancelled upon entering the tunnel? I know that in echoes, something involving camera angles can cancel lightshow (this is required for 6% in echoes), the same might apply to mp1.

Oh yeah I don't really know about MP2 but it was because of entering the tunnel. As you can see, though, the IS-effect is now some sort of "hidden" again; not deactivated. But - exactly as you pointed out - the light show was cancelled.
Soo, being able to see collision is pretty nice. I think this particular entrance is new. Not sure.

Well it looks like the Artifact of Elder item is something we can get without Space Jump/Plasma Beam in the randomizer now. Nice.

If you've already knocked down the tower to get to the spot the bomb jump method is performed at, you won't need a SW anymore...
AI in Metroid Prime is handled by 3 separate parts, 1) An EVNT file, 2) An AFSM (Actor Finite State Machine), and 3) some hard coded functions in the main binary.
Metroid Pime 2 and beyond use relocatable objects, (MP2 uses REL, and MP3 uses RSO along with Lua in a custom FSM2 format)
I encountered a meaningless small glitch and I wonder if someone knows why my beam was reflected by... nothing ?

i'm assuming that's from a randomizer, so it could be a glitch caused by the randomizer. if that was emulated, it could also be an emulation glitch.

I think the next thing the randomizer should fix is the lack of a sideways speedcap since thats clearly a randomizer bug, no way the game would be programmed so that there is no sideways speedcap.

I found a way to do the Ice Ruins West SW on Wii. Since they disabled your jump button in the area where the ghetto is, I looked for an alternate way of getting up. Turns out you can use a BSJ from the platform with the Wave Beam door, and make it onto the same roof that the bomb jump and ghetto strats use to get out. (I'll probably record a video later).
Edit: I also just found that you can BSJ into the SW in Phendrana Shorelines

If there's one nice thing about trilogy's fixed stuff, it's that BSJs see a lot more neat use.
I was going from Phazon Core to Crater Tunnel B when a Metroid wedged itself between me and the door. Somehow I must have clipped through the doorframe, because I got into Crater Tunnel B without the map moving with me. As soon as I took a few steps into the room, the textures unloaded around me. I didn't remember enough about secret worlds in the moment to try anything with it before I stepped into the door's loading zone and fully loaded the room. I wasn't able to duplicate it, unfortunately.

I don't know if there are any possible applications of this, especially if it's difficult to duplicate, but I would expect it's possible with other doors as well.
