Ive been messing around with the pirates for a while, and I found an ethereal pirate.
When you get power bombs, go break the tube, and head to the right room. Break the PB blocks there, and head through the room. If the alarm is off, it wont work. Ignore the pirate behind you, and run through the speed blocks. Charge or dont, it doesnt matter. The pirate behind you will walk up to the reformed speed blocks, kneel down, and crawl right through them!
More space pirate tests, and ive found another glitch.
The room between a save room and the tall spotlight room, with the security bar down the middle, and one space pirate on the left side. When coming from the save room, run all the way up to the security beam, quickly angle down and shoot, freezing but not killing the pirate. While he's frozen, get up on the 2x2 platform above you and wait in ball or crouch mode. When the gate opens, he moves forward slightly, sees you again, and the beam falls on him. He jumps left and right once, then falls below the ground. a straight shot wont hit him, and neither will a crouched straight shot, but an angled down shot can.
Screw up #1: If you get on the 2x2 block wrong, the gate will open, he'll keep shooting you, but the alarm wont go off. A glitch in itself, i suppose.
Screw up #2: Ive tried many times to recreate this, and only did my 1st time. Every time after that, he jumped left, right, then out and into my half of the room, standing on instead of in the ground.
In the first room in the Space Pirate Mother Ship (the one right after the Mecha Ridley cutscene), no matter what, the "Stealthy" music stays, even when you activate the alarm!
This probably has been noticed before, but I didn't see it here.
Eh, I never considered that a glitch. It lets the people who can't make it past the first pirate (which is probably a lot of people, actually) hear the music in-game. It was quite some time before I realized that the entire area could potentially have the stealthy music, rather than just the first room or two.
Found a glitch with Acid Worm's room. Beat him as normal, then quickly get down through the bomb blocks at the bottom before the acid has finished draining (this is easiest accomplished with the screw attack, I'm not sure you'd have time to do it with bombs). I only took out one row of blocks when I did it as well, I'm not sure if that's significant or not. Anyway, if you do it fast enough, the screen won't scroll down. You can move around as normal below the screen, but you can't see yourself! If you fall into the acid pools, you can see the splash as well as the bottom row of pixels of Samus' feet at the top of the screen. It is possible to get out, but it's difficult as you can't see where you are. Leave the room and re-enter, and the room STILL won't scroll down properly. Saving and reloading doesn't seem to fix it either. If you didn't destroy all the bomb blocks when triggering the glitch. If you did take out all the bomb blocks in the first place, I think the only way of fixing this is to re-start.
Really? Aw, nuts. And for a minute there, I thought I was on to something. Then again, I should have known better. The main thing you need to trigger this glitch is speed, and this community has that in abundance.
