I've gotten the Morph Ball before the Missile LAUNCHER but not before a Missile UPGRADE. (I get the one u need the Boost ball for)

What I mean is no Missiles-Whatsoever.  I can't make a good video of this though.  It's pretty easy to do, actually..
Really? I thought u needed the missiles to blow the lock on the door to get the morph ball?
No, actually.  You can use a Secret World trick to do it.

hmm you mean like going into a secret world in one room and comming out in another?
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
It's not a very well-known trick because it really has no use outside of basic novelty. Doesn't help with speed, doesn't lower the percent. I don't think it's really mentioned anywhere outside of GameFAQs.

Yes, basically.  I use the cutscene to help me.  I have just jumped through the doors and landed in the Ruined Shrine, but cutscenes are much easier.
how exactly is it done then?
It's done through a very painful process.

No, actually, it's done like this:

Get in the Main Plaza (Chozo Ruins) Secret World.  See page 178 Laughing (http://www.samus.co.uk)

Then, go to where the Ruined Shrine Access would be.

Next, repeatedly press the B button very fast.  Eventually, you will jump.  It air, jump towards or outside/under where the door leading to there is.

The room should open, and the screen may turn black, showing the Secret World of the Runied Shrine Access.  Then, repeat the previous step at the door where the Ruined Shrine  would be.  This should open, and just go around the center of the room, where the cutscene would be.

When it occurs, you will be in the level.  Get the Morph Ball, and then get on top of the half pipe in the Ruined Shrine.  Get the Missile Expansion and you will be all set.
I have some glitches. They are probably well known, but I couldn't find them anywhere so here they are.

While attempting a 200% game last night. I was going around and collecting all the expansions. Previously, I did probably my first real sequence break and got the Plasma Beam early.  :D  When I later got to the Gravity Chamber, I went ahead and melted the ice so I could come back later with the Grapple Beam. So, last night, when I went into the Gravity Chamber, the Grapple Point was there, but I could not grapple onto it.  Shocked  Nooooo!  Evil or Very Mad  The little icon for the Grapple Beam doesn't even appear! I tried my best at jumping to it, but I couldn't do it. Perhaps someone here has a suggestion?

Next, if you get a Metroid to latch onto you and then you exit on foot or in Morph Ball the Metroid will self-destruct!  Shocked  And I was going to send in pictures of Metroids flying around in rooms they shouldn't be in.  Rolling Eyes

The last thing I found last night was... Shoot! I can't remember right now. I'll post it when I think of it.

I don't think its really a glitch. More of a side effect of the fact that enemies can't go through doors. But i didn't know they would actually self-destruct. Pretty cool
I noticed that too. If a Metroid tries to go through a door (whether already latched on or an attack) it explodes.
i've noticed that. it's pretty cool if you can get a metroid to charge at you when you go thru a door, they usually will just stop, but sometimes they dont, and they go boom. i haven't successfully gone thru a door while one is on me yet, but it amounts to the same.

i have read about a glitch where you're not s'posed to melt the ice before you have the grapple, but it didn't say why. there is still a way to get the expansion even without the grapple.

It's still a legitimate Sequence Break tho... ;) :P

Oh, and the only other place that really covered it outside of GameFaqs was (guess)...

http://www.samus.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=258

Screenshots and even a movie of it in action (the only movie of it in existence too).

True, it's only use as a novelty, but at least it's doable, and after some practice isn't terribly hard to do...

Curse me for my vague way of explaining things, but you can actually transpot a Metroid into an adjacent room, by using the Morph Ball and Morph Ball Bombs.

Lure a Metroid to you.  Then, roll into Morph Ball, next to an opened door.  At the barrier of the door, lay a bomb.  The Metroid should go into the next room.  You can do lots of experimentation with this glitch.

Some things that I know:

The Metroid will permanently stay in that room until you kill it.
The Metroid will only be visible when the door to the room it was in is open.  It will try to attack you when you open it.
You can lock onto the Metroid when it is invisible.
When it disappears, you can only get hurt by it once, then you have to open the door again.
Fission Metroid will break apart if you attack them.
You can kill Metroid while they are invisible.
Fission Metroids in the Phazon core will not respawn while you are doing this.
They cannot exit the room they are newly in.
Once they latch onto you, they explode and kill themselves.

Thanks, Nate. *Sigh*  Crying or Very sad  Will I ever find something new?

Man! What don't you people know!  Shocked
About the Morph ball before missle trick

good thing theres a missle expansion in that room or youd be stuck  Laughing
ok, here's a small glitch you probably all already know...

when getting the artifact of wild, if you are standing right where it appears when it appears, it sometimes will skip the scene of the vines receding from the lower door.  if it does this, the vines do not recede, and you still have only one way in and out.
Stumpy, have you tried laeving the room and getting it to reload then going back? Try going two rooms away, then going back. The vines may be gone when you get back.

lol, unless the cue to dump sunchamber is still down with the highest set of oculuses, in which case you'll need to successfully do the early wild trick to get the vines to go away. ;P
i'm pretty sure if you get it to skip the cut scene where the vines disappear, they stay there permanently. i guess i'll check it out the next time i play, but i cant always get it to skip the scene. you have to stand so that the artifact is collected as soon as it appears.

i've tried to do that with the artifact of warrior too, but without success. it always puts you in the same place, no matter where you're standing when you kill the phazon pirate type thing. (phazon elite pirate?)

Maybe so... the may result in more GAME KILLING glitches!
I went and got the Plasma Beam before thardus again today.

Once again the platform outside the door didn't extend. Weird that.

I was aware of it this time so I didn't have to dangle on top of the Bendezium like an idiot like I did before... Instead I stood in mid-air... :P

That's true; even though you can just leave through the door to Sun Tower Access, it could create problems in a route that has you passing through the door with vines later on, if you don't know to let the cutscene play out.
Well, that could kill a Speed Run, right?
