Time bomb set get out fast!
What sarcasm?  I'm serious about that glitch.

Hey guys, I got some laggage on my DS and I'm not sure if it's the DS that can't handle this or if it can be reproduced on the GBA. I'm assuming my cart having been out in the rain might not have been related to this, but I'm not sure.

There's one specific spot that keeps lagging. It's probably all the same in other modes, but I'm playing Time Trial mode and I have 28% at this point in the run (although I doubt this information is really necessary). It's in the suitless run, in the hall that has a bunch of platforms and pirates that's fun to stealth through, but is more commonly chased through. I run through, and as I approach the second pirate on the ledge you can either craul under or jump onto, I shoot diagonally up at it and it lags until the beam hits. It does this every time for me.

Since there's like 4 pirates on screen, plus Samus, flashing lights, then the beam, I infer that the lag is a result of massive memory or something like that. I'm not sure if it lags on the GBA, too, though. It may also need testing on the GBP. There's another spot later on, but I forget the location and the stuff I did to trigger it. IIRC it's also the suitless part, but it might be coming back.

Not sure if you could call it a glitch, but I just felt like posting about it.

Edit: I'm editing all my really big useless posts into this so you don't waste your time reading them. If I should just leave them how they are then tell me and I'll stop editing them, but I think it would be better to not waste room on the page and stop if someone tells me to, than leaving them here to be annoying.
I'll be back. Maybe...
so it appears that the ds can behave erratically on exposure to sequence breaking. most peculiar.

Ridley!
I don't have that much problems. Well maybe I just can't remember them.

It's okay. I forgive you.

Eh, not really a glitch, but when I was going through a door in chozodia (as suitless samus, it was the second spotlight room) just as the pirate popped out of it, it allowed me to go through to the next room, but then I got rebounded immidiately back into the previous room and took damage as if the enemy was actually in the room I was trying to go into. It doesn't seem to work with normal hatches (except for taking the damage when you enter the next room), as I lost all my health on my 100% file trying to get stuck in the door. Not useful at all, but sorta amusing.

Oh yeah, and also relating to doors - this one might actually be useful (and probably known). I remember pulling it off a while ago. The spotlight in the upper right hand corner of the same room drifts into the door, which is conviently not very long after you get up there if you were using the lefthand side to climb. I just followed it right into the wall, and wasn't caught. If you're like me and can't climb the right wall consistently, it's pretty useful, since you don't have to wait for the light to drift away.
I don't know why everyone's having problems with their DS. I never had one glitch nor slowdown and I use my DS.

I take it back. There is some slight lag on the Original Metroid, probably because of the emulator used. Zero Mission, I have no lag playing on my DS.

Here's a really odd one a found in Chozodia while I was playing it during free time at school. In one of the small rooms of the mothership there is a space pirate is right next to the gate. You can make it close on him somehow and then he falls into the floor and it looks he's trying to crawl but his hand is sticking out and you can try to shoot at him but you can't hit him when the gate is down cause the Plasma Beam has no effect against it whatsoever, but a Morph Ball Bomb or Power Bomb will kill him. My friend and I thought it was so funny when I found this. laugh new Try it out sometime.
I know this shouldn't be mentioned as it was done with codes but it's too damn funny not to show. I used a get the suit back code early on and, when I saw the pirate stealing the power bomb expansion, I shot at him but it went right through him. My theory: That space pirate was a deity (god) and was stealing it as a sacrifice. (No, not really. I just thought it was funny to say that)

Oh yeah, I think somebody mentioned that. All beams go right through it, right? I can't remember if it still deals contact damage or sounds the alarm though. Has anyone came through that room from the exit the first time?
I didn't but I managed to run up to him. I walked right through him and he didn't respond. The beams make no contact, they go right through. I used a code that makes enemies freeze but all it did was stop his animation, he still slid across the room.
sorry to crash in, but i've found a glitch (not a glitch glitch but still a glitch). while in "zero suit samus" form get into the room before the second black pirate room and wall jump to the top of the first legey thing. jump onto the pit blocks then run across into the tripwire. stay all the way to the left (but still in the tripwire space) and pirates will "circle" you if you know what I mean. sos but no pics.

And of course by "circle you," he means they get out their styluses and moved it around Samus on the touch screen if you're playing on DS. Else, they use a mechanical pencil.

Not so much of a glitch as it is poor AI, though.
Yeah it isnt a glitch, just more of a thicko pirate. sorry, carry on
I found an example of bad AI. Goto where the Super Missile expansion was. You know? Sandwiched between two bombable blocks and above a cliff of space pirates? Use bombs to drop down to get their attention. Quickly spin back up and morphball into the area the expansion was in. Atleast one pirate will climb up to the edge, shoot at you, and miss.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
While I was trying to get a perfect stealth run on suitless, I encountered a situation similar to the "Ethereal Pirate" glitch. I recorded a .VMV and I've uploaded a .mpeg of it to YT, so I won't waste the effort involved in explaining.
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
But you got through the gate before it fully shut. The ethereal pirate goes though the tunnel after the blocks have reformed
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you look closely enough, you can see that the ethereal pirate is slightly inside the blocks. However, I don't know where the action point is, so that might be nothing more than bad AI. Based upon my own observations, it seems as if it may indeed be the latter.

Looking more closely at my own video, I was also partially inside the gate by the time it had closed fully, but much more so than the ethereal pirate is with the boost blocks.

From this, it's rather easy to deduce the fact that solid objects are not solid unless there are no solid sprites inside them, which is totally irrelevant, and probably not only prediscovered but almost entirely useless.
yeah

I still wonder what code you use to get that suit.

33001542 0002 if I recall correctly. If not then replace the last 2 with a 1
