Anyway this should be posted in the glitch topic but, I'll post it here. I was fighting Botwoon a week ago and I went to hit him with the Power/Wave combo and in turned and it came out later then I wanted to when I knew my timing was perfect. Then I did a little fuck around experimenting with the turn around animation and found out if you keep turning you can delay the Power/Wave combo as long as you want. I knew my timing wasn't off and I found out something interesting in the process.
Nice ! But this IS the glitch topic lol

So turning like that causes their timer to pause for the duration of you doing the turning. interesting.

LOL for some reason I thought this was the I need help topic.

Yea its very interesting. When I was fighting Botwoon I was like wtf my timing was perfect BS. So I was like maybe it was the turn around that made the timing change. Sure enough I was right on the money.

Yea I've now called this the wtf topic lol. Because of all the missunderstandings and general wtf I have with it. Then again it could be the complexities of this game that appear simple but are in fact, not (for me at least, coz I is noob).

This power-wave trick you found there could be a new discovery ? I guess it would work with the other power bomb combos as well ?

I'm sure Kejardon and most likely every TASer knows, but then again I was the first to do the Wrap Around Glitch with Angle Down. It would be cool if this was undiscovered but, I think this one is highly unlikely.

Also I finally figured out how to multi-bomb in the air but, its really fucking hard. I somewhat good at it but, I don't think I can be good enough to make it a console trick. I mean I always knew in a way how it done but, I have a deeper understanding of it now.

It sounds quite a profound trick to be honest and yet I havn't heard of it anyway. Most likely because there is just no use for it.

O you mean charge your beam, jump and swivvle in the air and somewhow you go into a ball and lay the bombs from the air. I try this just for fun sometimes. But yea it's really hard on console.
I'm not sure how it's done exactly. I swivvle alot in the air between the two downward diagonals on the d pad and somewhow I go into ball while charged

I wish I could get consistent enough to try the drop in Red Brinstar but, its just to hard. It would be so sick though. Also my brother and I were talking before and we have an idea on how to Blue Suit Dragon on PAL in 2 Rounds.

If this works then the same could be used on NTSC as well to make the fight slightly faster. We were thinking with the Power/Wave combo cool down it could be possible. After you activate it to intentionally shine spark the wall so on your first and second spark you can recover quicker from the cool down. Also maybe since Draygon will be closer you can take a intentional hit to short charge earlier. Its just a though but, we'll have to test to see if its possible.
I thought of that red brinstar shaft thing too. I tried the trick on emulator. I'm fairly consistant with it too but I can't really say what it is I'm doing that's making it work.

Nice idea about the cool down with the power-wave combo. I thought that the cool down could be used for nearly all shinesparks in the game lol. But that would have to be planned because of power bomb managment and such. I love the idea for draygon though. I might give that a bash tomorow if I have enough time.

Yea from my understanding its down turn while turning press down again and angle down in the opposite direction. At least the pretty much what my thumb thinks when I get it. I have a weird motion to get it. I would love to get consistent at it but, its one of those things you just have to have the feeling for at the time your attempting it.
my god I just figured it. It's left or right and slide all the way down to the opposite side and then back down to the down direction.

Yea for the cool down you have to do one normal Shine Spark in the room first while the combo is active and then your able to use the cool down.

I don't fully understanding what your saying.
its hold a direction left or right. I think left works best and slide right round to the opposite way and then back to down direction. all very fast

Yea that's kind of what I do.

sorry I must have miss read your post about how you do it. It just looks a lot different to the way I described

the cool down is cool not only does it let you fall from the crash earlier but your falling speed looks faster too

Yea I'll test it on Draygon later.

I'm gonna get to practicing. Later Behemoth.
Ok lxx4xNx6xxl. I'm going to bed now.

Regarding the PBW combo delay, it's not the combo that is delayed but the charge shot. So any shot is delayed if you're charging the beam and keep turning around. I noticed it too when fighting Botwoon, i was trying to put Samus in the right position and start charging in the right time, but i turned Samus from the right to the left and to the left to the right and missed the shot. So i understood why.
Quote from Behemoth:
I thought that the cool down could be used for nearly all shinesparks in the game lol. But that would have to be planned because of power bomb managment and such.

The problem here is that the Cooldown trick only works while the PBW Combo is still on the screen and only for the Shinespark after the first, but once you leave the room you are, you have to do all over again and the cooldown will only work for the shinespark after the first too. So i don't remeber a place in this game where you have to shinespark more than one time (Despite Draygon, because when you first shinespark him you don't have time to go after him even with the cooldown and the 2 shinespark, for TASers, is the last one).

Also, something that is bothering me, don't know if you guys experienced this, but in some places when running, Samus get stuck in the ground as if there were some tiny hole there, but there's nothing. Does anyone experienced this and knows why this happen?
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
In order to run down sloped blocks, Samus's vertical speed is considered to be her horizontal speed, downwards, plus 1 pixel. At high speeds this can give Samus a significant downwards speed, enough to easily go through clipped blocks (same phenomenon as superjumping through that clipped block in the escape shaft).
Most slopes work by ejecting Samus and so that wouldn't affect them (Samus moves into the slope then immediately gets pushed back up outside the slope) but half blocks work like normal blocks and only prevent Samus from moving into them. So if Samus ends up clipping into them, she won't get pushed back out.

So Samus's Feet (as i could see when i experienced this) are a little bit into the ground and to go out from that position i have to jump 'cause she can't walk/run in any direction. Is this similar in anything with the glitch we use to go through the Ceiling? I mean, samus is a little bit into the ceiling and we can go through with an impulse (jump), would it be possible to go through one block ground if we had the same impulse going down or this is a different glitch?

Edit: Can this glitch be reproduced in any place?
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
Technically yes. If the floor consisted of a single 1/2 block and was empty beneath.
The only place that exists like that in the original game is Mother Brain's room. There's not enough room to get the speed for that and there'd be no point either. I get the feeling the programmers knew about that bug and designed around it.
Thanks for clearing this. Well, it's a pitty 'cause it would be cool if it was possible to fall through that "one block ground" (?) straight to the Reserve Tank in Wrecked Ship, skipping that Mother Fu^^er Statue.

I like Big Butts and I can not lie
Oh, you mean like this?
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Not really.  He's talking about the door above that one, where you can see the reserve tank, but cannot get through.
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
Yeah, but you can reach it from that way
But this would be a Major Glitch that would stain a no-major glitch run.
