Hm, I think this is new, though useless. My snes9x refuses to export .smvs to quicktime right now, but I'll attach that if for some reason you really want to see it (recorded on 1.51). If you grapple onto one of Draygon's busted turrets as she swoops down at the beginning of the fight but do so at a low enough angle that you don't enter the "grapple-wall-jump" position, Draygon will pause at the bottom of the swoop and just stay there until you release the grapple.

Pretty positive that isn't a glitch. It seems like an intentional hesitation because Draygon will get electricuted if it touches you, at least if it grabs you. Seems to not have a problem when you are on the wall though.
New glitch! In SMILE 2.00 you can change the Bomb Timer to 0009 (Fastest with Bounce). Well if you mockball and are in midair when you lay a bomb, you will stop all horizontal momentum and bomb jump! Well you can do this in succession of 5, 7, 10 bomb jumps and then when the physics for the BJ are over, you will regain 100% horizontal momentum immediately. Only catch is, even while you BJ you must keep ahold of your mockball direction of travel to regain this momentum.

Here's the .ips for Unheadered (JU) rom. the .zmv is the glitch itself in action. Tell me what you think.....I bet this could make for some interesting puzzles in hacks.
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
This topic is for glitches in the original game, not in hacks. In hacks there are basically an infinite number of glitches, more often than not due to the people editing the game, not from the game engine itself.
Keep it in the right board. >_>
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
It's pretty much the same as when you get hit by a bomb during knock-back
Samus...? Is that you?
Uhm, i'm pretty sure no one hasn't seen this yet. I shinesparked Draygon and got Blue Suit. Then, i normally played the game to Ridley, not using the Blue Suit. Ridley grabbed me, and... Samus got 2 copies

But can you control all three independently, and give Ridley a beating? Twisted Evil

Samus...? Is that you?
No  Crying or Very sad
And the copies disappear after Ridley frees Samus. Blue Suit is actually SpeedBoost always on, and i think you know the glitch if Samus SpeedBoosts and continously takes damage? More Samus's come from left/right depending what direction she boosted. I think that is something like it

Edit: Of course, Kejardon comes and explains everything  grin new

They're just left-over echoes from Samus moving. Samus's engine hasn't noticed that she's stopped, so the echoes don't know to disappear.
Has anyone ever played through the game constantly charged after Draygon? Might lead to some new glitches.. Doubtful, but who knows.

Also, has anyone ever been outside the top of the room just before the grapple beam? The huge room.
I figured my way out, but it was to bad I found nothing useful. I was hoping it would be a quick way to the top of the place. Instead of wall jumping all the way back up. Instead, I found a constantly looping room that the floor was a bunch of bubbles of Freeze the Game Bitch.

Yes, that's been done, with some people carrying it right through to Mother Brain, which enables you to perform the 2nd version of the Zebetites glitch.
Is it possible to xray climb in the room when the big metroid sucks your life out using the same method as the statue room?
I don't know if this really qualifies as a "glitch", but I've found a loop in Ridley's AI. I'm not certain how to trigger it, but twice now I've gotten into situations where I'm standing on the left side of the platform, and Ridley's midway up on the right side. I jump up, he floats towards me a bit, then he backs off -- almost like he was planning to charge me and then decided not to. As long as I keep jumping, he'll keep doing this; makes boss fights a lot easier.

Both times it's happened in hacks (most recently with Revolution EX; I don't remember the hack I was playing before that). I don't know if that's relevant, though; I'd not think that Ridley's AI would get changed.

Also, you can do a weak bomb spread by firing the Hyper beam and then immediately morphing. I say "weak" because it generates one stationary bomb and one vertical bouncing bomb, but not the "side" bombs. Sadly, you can't chain this to rapidly create bombs. This isn't new (I know Saturn at least knows about it because I saw it in one of his videos), but I discovered it independently.

This sounds like Ridley's last 9 charges. If Ridley is doing this he's already out of health about to die anyways, and it's actually faster to let him grab you and die (though harder; it's easier to just jump and wait until he dies).
If you mean that Ridley's bouncing once, then hovering for a minute, then bouncing, then hovering, etc., you're just getting lucky. The AI *can* do that, but it's random and not guaranteed.
If it's something else... put up more details, or a movie. :P
Ahh, you're probably right. He certainly wasn't bouncing -- just hovering in placing and moving left and right a bit.

Oh, well. :)
Would it be possible to Xray Climb into the Plasma Beam room within a timely manner? If so, would that save a significant amount of time or slow you down? All I know is, if you have it, you can kill Draygon and Botwoon almost instantly with the Xray beam.
Almost happy
It can and has to my knowledge been done. It is a lot slower. Draygon and botwoon die instantly anyway.

Now that I think about it, you are right. It takes me in real time, with some luck manipulation, 30 seconds to kill Draygon. Even if not, at max 1 minute.
Is this elevator's glitch new for you?
When you're traveling in an elevator and one enemy touch you and force Samus use her reserve energy, when the refilling energy finish, Samus will turn in her damaged pose and lost her elevator pose. This cause that Samus goes around and around the screen.
Why happens this?

Almost happy
Hah, that's pretty sweet. I had not seen that before.
That is interesting. I used the ST gun and went to the elevator leading to Tourian and had a similar affect. Instead of being in the falling position and going up over and over again, I would go down the elevator, almost reach the end, then just go back up instead. Then it would almost hit the top and go back down again, forever though.
Trained by Cpadolf. Mission: To Perfect.
Yes, Cpadolf found this during his 100% run.
The one I did was different. Not only was I not on the top of the screen, I needed to push down to get into the elevator. And it wouldn't just teleport me back to the other room, I would literally ride almost to the bottom then ride back up, and always miss the landing by pixels.
I have a question: If you make it to the old touran ecsape shaft with the blue suit, can you preform the reset glitch and still have the blue suit?

I don't see why not. Why don't you try it >.>
