Lol Yeah it could exsist you never know with the murder beam space time beam and glitchs..  and Im done posting here :D
Oh btw i made a Video :D
What version of the ROM are you using?  When I watch that, I see the game unpause, but the screen never fades back in.

And Cloud007, just so you know, on the SNES, attempting to pause the game after firing space/time inevitably leads to a freeze.
i found out the version of rom i got by reading the other forums. i
got the NTSC version.

:( i think i did have snes9x on CD for my pc before. i had it on disc but it's broke. it's a shame that it didn't save whenever i checked for my saved files.
The question about the ROM was for houstin.
extra_smug i found something very unusual about the boss stage crocomire.
you know i did the open door glitch and beat it before he could completely go underground dying.

i went to the right and saw a blue door quickly opened it. it had glitched up alittle then i opened the door then i saw two side of crocomire with his hands off.

samus can charge but she can't fire her weapon her grappler shows a bluish-white dot and it's kind of a glitch that will kill samus but i glitched out of it.
You have a VERY strange emulator.
laugh new thanks

has anyone ever did this.

i did one more glitch that i've been slowly progressing on past these days.

you know that they say you can't leave tourian when you save the
game by motherbrain. guess what. i did. i saved it by motherbrain
and i glitched out of there then i did the reset glitch.

trying to glitch out is the hardest that i ever done because the glitch only works properly if your in the right position. doing this glitch is mostly impossible. i glitched out about four times(not in a row) but with different files though.

here's how to do it: (forgive for it being so long)

1) save the game by motherbrain(seriously Not recommended).

2) go where you encountered samus metroid(supermetroid) and head right where the grey door that can't be opened.
equip isp and fire and twist at the same time then fire at the wall.

here is a easy way for the first grey gate:

<easy>
- stand on the dead wire-like stuff that is beside the grey door do what it says above.

- when you do this you will go through the dead-wire then through the door as said below.
</easy>

- don't move just let samus fall.

note: you will go through the gate but see samus stuck in the floor. to get out just jump.

- almost out next is the dead chozo room.

3) go to the right side where it's another grey gate then do a twist

and fire. instead of firing the beam again do a half-jump then use a bomb. when you do this you will be out.

this glitch is useful for the ones who accidently saved in tourian without knowing about that it's no escape.

chances are 30% out of 100% of getting this trick right(highly impossible). reason i said this because you have a higher chance of samus getting stuck in a wall rather than escaping.

- if i had the snes console and SM for it then i would definitely try to find a way to glitch out of tourian for it.

it was fun doing this glitch. i'll keep my word on trying to make a vid of the glitches i found.

when i get them i'll post them.
Okay, I needs a map/FAQ for SMLimit, 'cause it's a bitch. Also, what the fuck is going on in Kejardon's avatar? I'm assuming it's a blue suit version of the old one.[/i]

That's from a clip of one of my old attempts to get a permanent blue suit without killing Draygon - played in reverse.
I wanted people to look at it and after a minute of staring at it, think "Oh, it's in reverse, he's doing a roll-back.. wait a second, he's getting hurt by an enemy then kills it a second later with blue suit!"
hehe. What I'm doing is spring balling, then demorphing in mid-air as I cross the path of the enemies. Demorphing causes the blue-suit collision type to be skipped, however, and so for a moment I basically don't have blue suit against enemies, even though I have blue suit. During that brief moment, I get hurt by an enemy and roll back, THROUGH the enemy. Since I never turned around or stopped moving, the game keeps my blue suit. And roll back *does* check for blue suit collision type, and so the enemies get killed immediately after I get hurt.
Even though it was a futile attempt for blue suit, it was still fun. :P
I later discovered that the *only* way to directly get a blue suit is to somehow interrupt a super jump, though. :/ The only other possibility would be a bad index somewhere else in code, like what the space/time beam does.

while i trying to glitch i found things that can't be explain and if you know why then please tell me.

i'll tell you a few:

:? that this is wierd but the gate guardian that keep you from the bosses uses the same weapon as you. try changing your weapon when your beside him. if not try glitching then do this. you will see a color change in the guardian attack.

here the colors of samus/guardian attack:

(Samus  -  Guardian)
plasma- green orb
ice      - blue orb
wave  - purple orb
charge/spazer - yellow orb
ice/space/plasma(space/time) - varies
wave/spazer/plasma - purple/black orb
all beams(murderbeam) - green-black orb or varies
spazer/plasma - black orb

-if the guardian has the same powers as samus then why it doesn't take the same damage of what samus take against the bosses/creatures.

-when you do the reset glitch you can bomb ridley with your powerbomb/standard bomb but when you fight him on zebes powerbomb is only effective. how did he get stronger in a short amount of time.

extra_smug i have a few glitches that i did on disc and would like show them. but i need to get a router for my pc so i can have the net . it'll be here soon!!

:x  i'm trying to find out what program to use to shrink the files on the disc they're too big to put on my pc. i need to know what format is needed to lower the size of the file.

also i have school so that's why i can't hardly do anything.
Not sure if this is know or not, as there's, like, fifty different glitches in the Draygon fight, and no one but Kejardon can keep track of all of them, but if you shinespark and Draygon grabs you while the samuses are still on screen, they'll stay frozen in place until you shinespark again, becoming flashing copies of whatever Samus is doing.  I'll see if I can get a video.

EDIT: video

I know it. Sorry. :P
It also happens if Mother Brain hits you with her final attack while Samus is super jumping, or if you hit space pirates with a speed echo.

...
Wait a sec, something's not right. How did you get Draygon to grab Samus while in the middle of a super jump with echoes shown? Did you have the permanent slow-down glitch on?
Oh right, video. ::downloads::
Oooh. You're hit with gunk while the super jump is ending. Never tried that before.
sorry if i'm alittle off topic.
question:

1)okay i wonder if they allow will vob files?
2)if so can i use them as a attachment?

if not then i hope nate or the mods can allow it.
I'm guessing you recorded something on DVD?    You do know you can encode it yourself and then post that, right?
See, I am kind of bad at the weird tricks like mockball.

I was determined to get super missiles early, however.  So, I decided to do it without mockball.

So, if this is new, what you do is dash, jump so you hit the first gate at the bottom to make yourself two blocks tall, and, if you are barely caught, continue running.  You should start dashing before the falling blocks, and then you can do a small jump at second, but quickly morph ball before.  Then, quickly roll in, and you made it.

Also, has anyone killed Phantoon before Norfair?  I want to try it.

Thanks
Pretty sure that's known, but it's harder (for most people) than mockballing, and it's also slower.

AS for Wrecked Ship before Norfair, that can be done with either diagonal bomb jumping or a very prescise jump.
Quote from George:
See, I am kind of bad at the weird tricks like mockball.

Whoa, what you described here actually sounds harder than mockball.
As for that exact location, here's a simple recipe:
1) open the hatch and go to the edge of the ledge to give yourself enough distance;
2) start running and jump just before entering the hatch (the later, the better -- the point is to fly past the lower ceiling in the mockball room without hitting it);
3) during the room transition, hold jump and down;
4) as you continue the motion, let go of the down button, still holding the jump -- you'll fly over the bridge and start descending, aiming down in mid-air;
5) get ready: as you approach the bridge, press down again when there's no more than a tile or so from the ground;
6) quickly press and hold right just after the morphing animation starts. You'll continue moving to the right at a faster speed. You may also try rolling your thumb from down to right or stop inbetween -- might be more convenient than pressing them separately.

Once you figure it out in that place, you'll be able to do it everywhere. I myself was barely able to do it not more than 2-3 months ago. After that, I practiced a bit in that and other locations, and can now do it rather consistently on my keyboard (and I feel it should be even easier on a console).
Well, I still don't like mockballing.  This strategy is pretty easy, about as fast, funner, and weirder looking.  I'll try to figure out how to get a recording with my crappy computer.

As for Phantoon, I've upgraded.  I now want to defeat Draygoon before any other boss after bomb boss, not including Botwoon.
Should be fun.
I have mockballed!  I will never be able to do it again, but I did it!

As for Draygoon, I am trying to preform the glitch faketroid thing (first faketroid room without speedbooster or gravity suit).  I can't quite get it to work.  Advice?  EDIT:  Also, I got up the glass tube room without high jump by dashing, starting my jump as going through the door, and then hitting left and right at the right time.  I shot the door, and got through it without high jump.  Couldn't do anything 'cause i didn't have ice beam though.

Oh.  I also got x-ray scope without high-jump, grapple beam, or bomb jump.  Got out with 36 health left.
Eschews avatars
I assume you have Ice Beam now, as it's required for the glitch. If not, head back for norfair. Anyway, the way the glitch works is that Samus' "hitbox" for collision detection changes shape depending on her position. As luck would have it, her "aiming down in midair" hitbox is very short. So, to do the glitch: Freeze a mocktroid as it's about 2 blocks below the ceiling you're trying to break through. Press up against it, then jump straight up. While rising, tap down, then right just as your feet clear the mocktroid. If everything went correctly, you should end up standing on the frozen mocktroid with your upper half sticking through the row of blocks. If you just fall back down or go into a kind of seizure, try a different height in freezing it.
sorry for being off topic:

but i just need to know if its okay if you speedup the game to a decent pace although making everything sound faster(although i'm disappointed by the sound).

i ask this is because my game moves terribly slow and i need to know because i don't want anyone to call what i did..

fake. also my dvd rec too fast so it make it look near original emulation speed.

You know you've been playing Super Metroid too long when the metroids start RUNNING AWAY from you.
<_<
ZSNES 1.36, due to force of habit

Gah.

Any idea why it happened?
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
Because I've been playing the game too long, of course. :P

yeah, I'm pretty sure I know why it happens, but I haven't checked the Metroid's code to confirm it.
In order for this to work, you have to let the metroid nip Samus, then outrun it (not knock the metroid away). When the metroid is more than half a screen away, it will run away from Samus, instead of towards Samus.
After the metroid nips Samus, but before it actually latches onto her, it loads a short transitory movement AI, which seems to simply be a constant X and Y speed towards Samus's head. The programmers seemed to assume that if the metroid managed to nip Samus, it would either latch onto Samus or be knocked away. So this transitory AI doesn't seem to function right if Samus moves too far away from the metroid - it probably ignores the high byte of the positions.

So yeah. There was a good bit of setup I didn't show to get those three metroids running away from me.

Of course, I first noticed the bug on Insanity and it took me around 20 tries to reproduce it on the original. <_<;
i hope someone post after this:

i'm only asking that is it ok because if not then it won't be no point for me to continue to work on them.

also to shorten what i said about when i escaped from tourian.

here is the path i glitched out at:
starts left to right because i saved at motherbrain.

point of no return(where the supermetroid is at)--> Second point(where the dead chozo is at)-- then> out!!! then i left did the reset glitch and saved it.

just to let you know when you perform the dead glitch it saves automatically so don't worry about your file it won't corrupt any files instead its quite a unique bug.

i tell you about it when you load your game you will see samus do what she do as normal but instead the planet is exploding and the funny thing about it when she come out of the ship go back in and she actually leaves the planet telling you that you've beatened the game.

last the open door glitch is when you are able to go through almost all the door including the boss doors and the best part of it you can fight the boss over and over until you reach your limit, also doing this glitch the right way leads to a secret world where crocomires room if you know where it is i do but i'm not going to tell right yet.

so what do anyone think?
