Cause video games are compeletely retarded about things like that.
more so than movies? i dunno ... even if they arre, i don't think that means devs should stop including more "adult" content just because no one's done it right before. the only way to evolve is to keep trying.
i guess i don't get what would be the "right" way to depict sexual assault. it's supposed to be gross, disgusting, and disturbing. think the reason it's criticized in games is because people view it as somehow glorifying those things. that's nice ... i don't see it that way though.

Well considering that women do not wear clothes in video games there's reason to be concerned. :v
is there really though? i hear that all the timee but why exactly is it an issue? there's plenty of movies with shirtless guys too, clearly being sexualized. i don't look like them, but i'm not offended. it's fiction, i get that.
also there are plenty of games that feature women wearing plenty of clothes.
Like I don't think it's impossible to make it actually serve a purpose, movies have certainly done it. But game developers don't know what restraint means. It's way more effective when it's not HEY BITCH GETTIN RAPED RIGHT HERE BROS!
yeah maybe but i mean how is that worse than the last house on the left or somethig? the chick that gets raped in that movie is hot, and the scene is sexualized because it's ... sex. no one gives a fuck though because it's a movie. i see games the same way.

Have the sexy guys get raped and we can draw equivalence. Males are very rarely put in the kind of vulnerable situtions women are, far less exploitative.
i'm not trying to defend games that just toss it in for no reason, but my point is that i don't know of many games that do that! especially these days i think more companies are handling mature themes rather well. there will always be what some people might call sleaze in any medium. it's not a problem.

daniel craig getting tortured naked in casino royale? i'm sure there are tons of examples, you just don't notice them because women aren't complaining about it.

I would be concerned that the creator is putting his rape fantasies on camera tbh. It's really less that a thing is on screen but why it's on screen and how it's portrayed. Raises questions about the people responsible and can send some odd messages.
i guess i don't see how putting rape fantasies in fiction is somehow wrong. if people don't like it, they won't watch or play it, and the creator will be laughed at.
if people do like it, they will play it, which means the art has some value right? just because you don't like it doesn't mean it should stop. just don't support the game/movie/whatever that does it.
