hmm .. i really wanted to check one of the games out for some platforming action, that's why i wanted to avoid the game with the driving gimmick.

maybe my brother just sucked at it and that made it look so bad when i watched him

the first one is the only platformer of the bunch, it's basically entirely platforming

the second was mostly a shooter with some platforming, more like a ratchet & clank game, but it's also open-world

third is like the second except it sucks and has a lot of driving and bullshit

you'd probably like the first, it did some really neat stuff for its time, like there's no load screens whatsoever and the entire world is seamless

i guess that makes sense because it's naughty dog and they're known for that, but i can imagine it being quite impressive in 2001

jak and daxter doesn't have any of that, like it's literally a huge seamless world

the screen will never go black unless it's a cutscene

yeah nah it doesn't really, but like even if you're entering a huge cave (which would be like a dungeon in tww), you just walk in and it's there

this is something that took me awhile to realize while playing, but once i did i was really impressed

i mean it's not something most games nowadays even do ... except uncharted

i think they're so good because sony lets them do whatever they want, and they take their time with their games

lately they've been releasing stuff more often though which is a little worrisome, but afaik they've got two teams now

soul reaver did that back on the PS1... the no-load thing...

it's also the only game i can tolerate box puzzles...
thinking back, that game have LOTS of box puzzle, i think every puzzle is a box puzzle...

it's like playing sokoban, but with the occasional impaling of horrid vampires and then eating their souls...
it's the only game of the series that i really liked too.

i also like KH2 way more than KH1, my favorite of course is 365/2 days
birth by sleep was a piece of shit BTW, like 80% of the PSP library...

I dated a girl once who shipped Kingdom Hearts characters. Half the time it was gay pairings, and when we broke up she sent me a kingdom hearts song. dat bitch be mad crazy yo.

either way, I'm not going to try any of the games thanks to her.

I like turtles.

I started a new game in the first KH game just to make my roommate angry the other day. I don't remember it being this hard to do the Coliseum. Like, I can't even get to Cloud. So Wonderland first, I guess.

What I get for playing on Expert and choosing the Sword/giving up the Shield.

iirc you get to see the extra ending without having to do any sidequests. but that's just for playing on expert. the other challenge doesn't get you anything.

haha. Funny thing is my current guy hates furries, thinks its gross and weird and stuff. I still haven't told him of course, doubt I will, I don't think it's something that needs to come up.
