Completely agree with both. The Wii had some good potential but games just got more and more casual and they never accepted Online play (even though it has built in Wifi). Oh and of course there wasn't enough core games but that is pretty common for Nintendo's consoles. Nintendo and the world of capitalism seems to love it though the same way they love the iPhone and Facebook for pushing casual money hungry games.
Motion Controls are pretty overrated but I wouldn't mind them so much if they were an optional control scheme. I didn't mind Skyward Sword or Metroid Prime 3 controls most of the time but yeah there were times when I was like FUCK YOU WII MOTE and wanted to throw it against a wall (Round 3 during final fight against Girhim when controller not swinging the direction my arm is going).
I'm really concerned about the future of controls though. Microsoft is asking developers to think "Touch First" and aim input at touch BEFORE mouse/keyboard. Seriously what is this world coming to. Why are we giving up power and precision for sloppier and sloppier devices.
