I don't know, I thought FF6 and FF9's plots were pretty straightforward. You could probably point out more bullshit than I can, though.

But yeah I'm not even the biggest fan of Asscreed's story but it's internally consistent, as long as you're in the game's world and not your own it makes sense.

Those are good Final Fantasies, I would say atypical.

yeah the tales series actually tends to have coherent stories. there's not always incredibly interesting or original, but i don't mind that much. graces's story far is great though.

The only Tales games I played were Phantasia and Eternia. The former sucked, and the latter was good, though I never finished it.

Has anybody in the US checked the price on the season pass for DLC for Borderlands 2?  There's a price glitch in the UK at the moment, and it's only £7.99, which is about $12.68.  Worth checking. aiwebs_004

If it's not, and if anybody is interested, let me know, and (as long as I'm not inundated Razz), I'll pick some up for you guys.

pretty sure I saw it for 14.99 here

either way I don't think I'll be picking it up. There's tons of different pre-order bonuses and with 4 DLC packs already planned, I think I'll just buy the game once through steam and then pirate it to get all the content.

My brother read up on a bunch of BL2 info yesterday while I was watching some streams from Pax since we hadn't really been following the game that much. It sounds like they took everything that made the first game great and completely overhauled it to make it extremely awesome. So yeah, we're both looking forward to heading back into co-op and running around Pandora again like we did in the first one.

Still can't beat my excitement for the new X-COM from Firaxis though.

They released a new trailer the other day, which actually explains a load of the content.  It's worth a watch, and there's nothing really spoilery in it.

Are you talking about the Sir Hammerlock one? We caught that one yesterday and I'd agree with you on that. Plus it was both hilarious and informative, which to me is the best way to advertise BL2.

Yup.  I only wish more games did it, instead of me having to search for gameplay videos for everything.

Also, I was chuckling because Torchlight 2 has been announced as the day before Borderlands 2, so it's now got zero chance of being played for a good few weeks.

The first Torchlight didn't really impress me all that much. Felt almost way too cartoony, and the fact they haven't improved the game visually for the second one is kind of a bummer.

Played the one on the psp and it's port tote PC. Was fun but turned into a grind after awhile. Fun boss fights though.

I've played a few of them.  They have all been pretty good, but can be frustrating as you can often explore areas before you're intended to, and you get whipped. (You can also get silly exp early!)
