They still fucked up. You lose literally nothing by taking the chance on a company that's too dumb to pay attention to their price listings and the company always looks shitty if they don't honor it. It's good business on their end and a smart move on the customer's part. Capitalism bites both ways.

i agree with all that, all i'm saying is i wouldn't care if the company didn't honor it because they don't need to, and anyone who complains is a fucking retard crybaby
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Or making a good play to save some money. Which worked out pretty well in this case.

by taking advantage of a mistake made by someone else? if a company did that to a consumer people would be rioting in the streets. capitalism bites both ways.
red chamber dream
i'm not saying i wouldn't order that shit too, all i'm saying is i don't think i'm justified in doing so and wouldn't expect the company to honor it

People do it all the time to other people and corporations are people sooooooo

lol
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Everyone is totally justified in taking advantage of anyone else's mistake. If you're not paying attention you get owned sometimes.
red chamber dream
i think you're free to do so and it's a fact of life, but there's no justification for it lol
red chamber dream
don't get me wrong, i'm all about not giving a shit about other people
red chamber dream
i'm just aware it makes me a total asshole and try to care a little when it matters
Now I'm curious. The mistake listed the games at about 18 right? What are they usually priced at? If the equivalent difference is something like 5-10 dollars below standard that's one thing. If it's more like 1/2 off than yeah, that should've been a clear indication to the customers that the guy in charge screwed up. Because really, how often are new games priced that low compared to the standard, especially if they're high profile games like the ones mentioned?

Either way it was a mistake no matter how much of a gap there was in the prices and the customers shouldn't have complained when likely know what new games typically cost at Argos and other sellers.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
If you complain the company will honor it 100% of the time. Always complain about inane shit when the opportunity arises, milk those customer retention people for all they're worth.

these games aren't even out yet lol. £18 is like half off.
red chamber dream
well forza 4 is out but looking online, that one's supposed to cost that much ... wonder if they meant the new forza 4 expansion that's coming out

Yeah I know they aren't, but they're still 3 big releases so I'd expect them to be the full price.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
They would all normally retail at over £30.  Good (not online) prices would be £33 or £35.
When people make human mistakes that cost the company money, then someone gets fired.  Since shit rolls downhill, it's usually someone poor and often it isn't even their fault.

The customers that are having the big shitfit which is making them decide to honor those ridiculous prices are getting someone canned - and it's probably not even that person's fault to begin with.  Customers suck.
What'd you say?

Let's just be real here, people suck.
red chamber dream
yeah which is why i don't get why people blindly defend retard consumers when it's the business who's actually doing something for the economy
Club 27 Goals
well without the consumers it isn't like the business wil be doing anything for the economy anyway!

It's pretty dumb to argue either side.

I'm glad we have such a diverse opinion of serious matters such as these on the forums.
red chamber dream
of course the business needs customers, but what we all need are customers who understand how businesses work instead of trying to take advantage of them at very opportunity. and vice versa of course.
