Ooohhh that explains it but still didn't like their weren't no natural environment stages (except cell stage) which kinda disappointed me. Good luck with V if you haven't played it or finished it yet. Beware the 5th boss is a bitch.
well duh? and um, weren't you guys part of the metroid fandom?
considering i only like a couple of the games i'd hardly say that's the case ... at any rate, talking about something you like with people who share a common interest is different from obsessing over that thing.
Did you not speed run Metroid games? And how much time did you sped posting on m2k2 (when it was actually about Metroid)? Once you get onto that next step past what the game or show or whatever was made for and you start socializing with other people doing the same thing, then you're certainly in the "fandom".
oh man. siglemic (who's been running super mario 64 since forever) just almost managed to beat the world record, but screwed up close to the end of the run. that was awful to watch.
damn that is pretty hardcore. Only time I considered going to the hospital was when my ex cut his tongue too deeply before giving a bj. it was still good though. Wonder if he ever got infections from doing that.
i like those games fine, i just don't see a reason or need to play them over and over and talk about them endlessly. there's really not much to most metroid games ... they're fairly simple and not all that interesting tbh
Yeah, along with Super that's pretty much the case for me as well. I mean, I still sort of consider myself a Metroid fan, but you won't hear me defend any games in the series that weren't made from 1994 to mid-2004.
Also, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in the Community/Social clique that still gives a shit about Metroid games besides Prime.
Nah man, Super Metroid 4 lyfe. Also ZM and Fusion. Hell I even like Prime 2 a lot even though it's nowhere near as good as Prime. There's just not a lot to talk about anymore with those games.
it may be because there aren't any real characters, and the games are just about exploring a big ol' 2d map. which is fine, they're really fun the first time - there just isn't much that's memorable enough to make me want to go back to them.
on the other hand i could go on and on about how brilliant, for instance, the banjo-kazooie games are because there's just so much to them. maybe it's because they're 3d, dunno.
