There's not a lot of people who really give a shit about Metroid though. Other M and Corrupton sold like one 20th of what NSMB or Mario Kart did for example. I mean I'd love a Metroid game at launch if they could do it properly, but I doubt it would help the consoles sales significantly.

yeah, but mario kart sells outrageously, way more than the typical "succesful" game. metroid has always sold just fine.

Yeah okay they're probably just changing it to be one universal number. Goddammit Nintendo. They just need to set it up like all these kid MMOs, you can have a three-part name, and you choose from a pool of words for each section. Kinda like when those TV people would interview you in Ruby/Saphire.
