Yeah in Brohood the realized you probably shouldn't just get owned if the enemy decided to block forever and let you kick them in the dick and ruin their shit.

I still remember Brotherhood as having much improved combat following II. Unfortunately it also introduced "full synchronization" objectives to the franchise. And that's absolutely unforgivable.

Usually "not doing it" is exactly my strategy if I come across stupid optional goals in a game. Even so, I hate that devs give optional content a free pass to be unfun or badly designed. It may not be part of the "core" game but it should still be held to standards and get playtested and iterated.
