I will never have to end up owing an income tax debt
i don't know how else to possibly interpret this other than you not understanding that you owe a tax debt every year, regardless of how or when you pay it
and obviously those like me who choose to wait can manage their money just fine and always end up having to pay roughly the same amount. a few hundred bucks. no big deal when you budget for it.
It really just comes down to the preference of "I'd rather just let the government hold onto my money Just In Case". If not being able to spend it sooner, not getting interest or using it for an investment, or if you're worried you might forget and not account for it in your budget, then sure. I don't think ark or I were saying there's no situation where letting them hold onto it for free was inexcusable and unjustifiable, but more that there's a lot of good reason not to.
to be completely 100% honest I really couldn't give a fuck because I don't play the games
but there's a certain tone it sets. Not for the game, but more like, on a matter of principle. They were handed this game to translate and localise. Hell, even with the tone of the game, it doesn't fit. "Hey, this guy is about to hae a serious conversation, HOW ABOUT A REFRENCE L O L"
It just feels so detached when you run into them, I mean I know thats totally personal opinion, but it feels like they're just warping it without even the higher ups knowing (read: the people that actually made the game and wrote it)
and going back to that first one. "I'm happy we'll be together forever, I'm really happy", a nice line of dialogue exerting her happiness. Instead of a cheese'd-out "Rawrhwrhr means I love you in dragon!". You can't say the second one carries the same tone as the first. It's completely different for the character. They shouldn't be re-writing it
Also I haven't even brought up the censorship that NoA pushes for their games
Triforce Heroes is goofy from the ground up in every aspect, and Fire Emblem support conversations have goofy humor even in the Japanese version. I'll agree with you on the spoopy thing though, that's not a good way to advertise Fatal Frame. But that's not the translation department, that's the web team, which is absolutely incompetent.
