I played a stage today where you have to take a Bob-Omb and climb a 1-tile wide gap between walls via walljump while constantly picking up and throwing the Bob-Omb in between walljumps in midair.

And I beat it. Was pretty crazy. How do people come up with this shit?
red chamber dream
heh now that just doesn't sound fun to me. memorizing a series of quick inputs isn't nearly as fun as playing a well-designed level

but i can see how some might enjoy the challenge
Eh, I was about to give up after a few tries, then got it down once but didn't clear the stage since I was so surprised that I made it I ended up panicking and throwing the Bob-Omb in the wrong direction lol. After that I couldn't help but keep trying.

There's actually a surprising amount of really well designed levels already. Ross Donovan, aka RubberNinja (pretty popular animator) has cranked out some totally rad levels that have some challenging parts, and puzzle parts put together. They honestly look more fun than any mario levels I've played.
I like turtles.
Pity Ross is also going to die for those levels after Arin and Danny get done recording Grumps.

the memory of his levels will live on

I've seen (and played) much better

I haven't dug deep into the levels yet, but the general point is that there's already some really good ones. Should post the good ones yo
Alice, Crumbs and タイシオウ (Taishiou) made a lot of levels I really liked. タイシオウ is probably my favorite creator, but he's only made a few courses so far.

And if you want bullshit challenges... Panga's they way to go lol

I can posts codes when someone else here has the game. Just let me know

i'd call them clever rather than bullshit. sure, they're extremely hard, but i'm sure there are a ton of levels that just spam a shit ton of enemies or have some really dumb gimmick

But that's why I recommend Panga. His stages are a lot better than stages with enemies all over the place like you name it.

I agree they're clever. But they're also really long, so they're bullshit in the sense that the average player would require hours of practice to complete one of them. The ideas he has for all the individual tricks that need to be pulled off to progress are mostly brilliant.

that's pretty cool
cool map, but it's frustrating to watch and listen to that guy lol

There's a lot of Metroid inspired courses made in Mario Maker. That one looks nice. Would be a pain to start over if you die though.

Sonic 2 is coming to 3DS in 3D in a couple of weeks.  Sweet!

Actual eShop activity?  And something I might actually be interested in?  Rare occasion.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Nintendo is downright devious with their amiibo distribution.

The only way to get Isabelle, a super popular character tons of people will want, is to get her in an Animal Crossing amiibo Festival bundle, which is a shitty game no one wants. They are ransoming Isabelle to make a shit game sell. That's supervillian level deviousness.
red chamber dream
i really hope in like 2 years you'll be able to walk into a store and buy any amiibo you want
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I can already do that!

(cause I want none of them! snapppppppppp)

It's ALMOST as Evil as Blizzard with their trading card game. You could get items for WoW in their trading card game that were extremely rare and exclusive, some going into the hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars.

also the fact that every game they made will have stuff that influences the other games. Play Diablo 3 enough and you get a mount in WoW! Buy lots of hearthstone and get unlocks in Diablo and WoW!
red chamber dream
wow really? i'm sort of glad i don't care about any of their games anymore
red chamber dream
it's a shame, i used to love blizzard so much

WoW isn't the money printing machine it once was, they gotta make it up somehow!

Seems to be working out ok for them, shitty as it is, pretty sure the only reason more companies haven't tried that is not many positioned to do it like Blizzard.
