well, obviously the air is polluted by zombie virus particles!!!
red chamber dream
it adds a style to the game. not all games should look like real life
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I don't know, every game made at the time used basically the same filter, comes off as less of a style and more like the continued adventures in making games look bland as fuck.
Well, RE5 ditches the blandness later on. Lots of really cool locations. Totally unscary, though.

Yeah but RE was never scary. Aside from the controls maybe.
REmake was... and then they just gave up and went full action with RE4.
red chamber dream
nah lol, people who don't enjoy horror unless they get scared are weird

like i've never actually been scared playing a video game ... it's about the mood
I dunno, REmake was pretty creepy the first time I played it. Nothing on the level of Silent Hill or anything, but at least they tried.
Nothing's creepier than RE4 after not sleeping from a 3 day tweekfest.

The most scared I've ever been in a video game was playing oblivion ironically. I was adventuring through a cave trying to be all sneaky, everything was dark, and it was 3am on a week night so I had to be extra sneaky since my parents would kill me. I went down some stairs and a dude jumped out from behind them and I yelled, threw my mouse off my desk and proceeded to pull the power cord out of my computer and pretend like I was asleep having a night mare or something.

Good times.
haha I lived with my parents in my NES days.  I had insomnia and typically laid in bed for hours trying to sleep on weeknights, but I never played video games after bedtime even though I had a TV and the NES right there in my room.  My mom would have been too angry if she caught me, so I just never went there.

I had my computer gameboy, everything taken away so many times for getting caught on it when I wasn't supposed to be. Eventually during late middle school they were just like, fine, whatever, you'll learn on your own.

and then I had horrible sleep schedules where I'd sleep when I got home from school, wake up, play video games all day and night, and do homework at school. Good times.

my college sleep schedule was the best though. I had mostly online classes and I could stay up for ~30 hours at once, sleep for 12, and repeat. The only time it really screwed me over was when I went to see the Avengers with friends and I passed out in the theatre really really hard, woke up an hour later, and threw up in the bathroom for some reason. I didn't even eat the popcorn, I was just super sick feeling and I think it was my body's way of rejecting itself after having that schedule for a solid month or two.

My first two semesters in uni were the best, getting up at 5am for japanese courses and always staying up until 4-5 am when I met with friends.

I always felt like shit...

i remember being tired a lot in college from frequently staying up until 4 am, but it never started to make me feel crappy until i get got older ... now i can't stay up late at all unless i want to be wrecked the next day ;(
I feel tired for a long time if I go off of my schedule too much.  I definitely have the most energy when I go to bed and get up at the same time every day.

my girlfriend's current schedule is just totally fucked. She goes to bed atl ike 11am, wakes up 3-4 hours later, eats lunch then goes back to bed and gets another 4-5 hours of sleep. I guess if she feels good then that's fine, but damn.
red chamber dream
damn, i would need to be able to go outside when there's daylight

I just read that.  Jesus, a bile duct growth?  Isn't that something rather common and easy to deal with?  Talk about sudden.
Apparently not in his case, considering he had been having various surgeries for it these two years or so.
