Because if I'm able to do that, then I will probably like the game more. People who think TP or SS is the best Zelda ever typically haven't had a passionate love affair with the older games like some of us have. I want to like those games as much as those people do.

that's true, but i have played those older games, so it's impossible not to compare them. when skyward sword introduces a fucking ton of needless dialog boxes and other crap that only slows the game down, it's impossible not to think "ocarina didn't do this and was way better for it"
