I don't miss my N64 very much to be honest.  Besides, that controller would feel so strange in my hand today.

I'm starting to think that they're going to do the same thing with ZeldaU that they did with TP.  That is, release it on their new console as a launch title and then a week later release it on the console they started making it for (wiiu).  If they do that, then I will have to buy an NX plus a copy of the new zelda on launch day just like I did with TP, but then I will basically have this wiiu that has no purpose.  I really like my wiiu, but there still is not one amazing original hit on it.  It will end up being just that machine that I can use for off-tv play.

I was so excited for that game that it would have been on my mind that entire week and driving me crazy.  Plus I was going to get the wii anyways.

good point, realistically if a new zelda comes out i'm going to buy it day 1 no matter what

i do that with every zelda game too, but the problem is zelda has a history of being great

when newer games aren't great, it's hard not to compare them to the older games

Yeah it's definitely hard not to do because it just comes naturally, but I'm going to try not to do it.  I'm going to try to think about the game as if it were the first zelda game ever made.
