i'm not one of those kingdom hearts nerds that gets into the story or played all the side games, i only played 1 and 2. i just love seeing the disney worlds and all the characters. with that said, this trailer looks fucking great
that's why i haven't played the handheld games heh. i actually didn't care for khii very much for that reason though, so yeah i hope they reel it back a bit too
i wouldn't mind marvel or star wars even though i don't get into star wars. they're kind of running out of interesting disney properties, and i don't want to see very many recycled locales
Mind, the individual Disney properties based on their own movies had enough in common that they could all be bridged via one third party. That's not really true of SW/Marvel - like, they're even remotely close to consistent with the series' concept.
Haha, and you haven't even played the side games? Dream Drop Distance is one of the most bizarre stories someone's ever tried to tell me, bundled with a pet sim on the side.
Admittedly, II was the narrative low point. They had to do a lot of quick and dirty writing to retcon some of the finality of the first game after they realized the potential for a franchise. On the other hand, Birth by Sleep has pretty solid writing... not that anyone played it thanks to its being a PSP exclusive.
It ain't the next masterpiece of video game narrative, but it mostly makes sense, the villains are really fun to watch, and it ties up more plot threads than it introduces.

that's good to hear actually. gives me hope that iii won't be total up its own ass nonsense like ii.
It's also going to be the one to wrap up this story arc (but not the series, according to Nomura!?) so odds are it won't try and get people tangled up.
Except in the sense that Tangled is set to be one of the worlds
They patched out Knuckles's infinite jump, so it's not even fun to break anymore.
I was about to recommend sonic boom just because of how much fun the infinite jump makes the game. Is there any way at all to play it without updating? I was actually going to get it to play with with my other friend just to get drunk and glitch through it.
