I was about to say "hey now, that's kind of a rushed judgment," but then I saw that "co-op multiplayer shooter" is probably going to be the only Metroid game we see for another several years. Now I kind of agree.
The others were pretty good though. Don't have a 'bone, but Recore is the right kind of game to get me interested. And the BC emulation thing really is fantastic. And then for Sony, Uncharted looks as bonkers as ever. I love that series.
As far as my taste goes at least, Microsoft had a much more interesting presentation. BC, Rare Replay, Sea of Thieves, Recore and other games. I'm a little disappointed that the game Rare's been working on isn't Banjo 3, but Sea of Thieves looks quite promising. Sony dropped some bombs and broke the internet, but the real hype stuff either won't come out in a while or isn't my cup of tea (like FF7).
I am still not convinced to buy a next-gen console, though. Maybe Dark Souls 3 might do it but even so, I still play the first three Souls games to death... not sure I need a new one so soon...
The internet is going nuts with all the ninty E3 disappointment. A poll at nintendolife.com shows 78% of people were disapponinted, only 2% loved it, and the difference is somewhere in between. What a complete disaster.
I'm also kind of excited for a new Mario Tennis...
Come to think of it, they did show some pretty good stuff. Just the bad stuff they showed completely deflated the whole thing. Fucking Animal Crossing board game, are you shitting me?
