Like sometimes I ask a question from a very basic, fundamental place and people don't know how to answer it even though those kinds of questions are easier for me to answer.
Like I know someone that constantly bitches about another person, so I asked them if they really gave a shit what that other person says or does. After much prodding, they finally answered NO. I would have thought about that question from the get go and therefore wouldn't have bitched about what the other person says or does to begin with.
I'm missing something regarding Steam and minimum pc requirements to play their games. Months ago I saw that my pc is not powerful enough to run BoIsaac:R so I wrote that one off. Now I just looked at axiom verge, which is coming to steam soon, and my pc is not powerful enough for that game either, even though it has lower min requirements. I checked all 5 PC's in the house and NONE of them are powerful enough to run Axiom Verge, not even the 2 that are about a year old. Really? Do we just have terrible PC's? Am I reading something wrong? Could the min req they're listing be wrong?
It seems so weird because we don't have any problems running a variety of other games. In fact I haven't even tried to run one and had it not work. What's so special about AV and BoI? They certainly don't look like they would require more than the games I already run.
what CPU do you have? Chances are yours is a DUAL core or even QUAD core CPU. That cpu listed on AV is a single-core 2.0GHz cpu. If yours is a dual-core cpu, it'll be 1.6Ghz x 2. If it's quad core, it'll be 1.6Ghz x 4.

Oh I thought they would have doubled the speed for me. If I double it then I'm fine.
Except one pc say 1.4 GHz and the processor name doesn't mention core or duo or anything like that. That's the one I'm sitting at right now. Regardless, I will be able to play these games. Thanks for the info guys. Now gift me these games, plz.
well, having dual cores doesn't mean your cpu is effectively twice as fast. software has to actually use the additional cores for there to be any difference. axiom verge probably runs on an engine that is optimized for multicore though, so you're probably fine.

Think of it like this, my girlfriend bought her laptop from WALMART about 5 years ago for $450. It can play World of Warcraft, League of Legends, and everything else fine, and it has a dual core CPU. I can guarantee you that if your PC was purchased in the last two years it can certainly handle the games you posted.
