well, i measured more in terms of ppl that know the game, and a lot more ppl know about COD than zelda...
Again with the different circles. I doubt anyone I know would even know what COD stood for. It's just not the kind of thing someone would be into unless they were a young male. I realize that young males make up the largest group in gaming, but 'everyone' is an even larger group - and I think zelda is an everyone game.

which is fine, but don't try and say they don't exist lol
perhaps, but i know tons of people who would never touch a zelda game. who you know doesn't really matter when talking about the scope of an entire industry
I mean that there aren't any points that we are butting heads on or disagreeing outright, we're just comparing notes on how shit looks from where we sit, yet you are arguing points of logic to me which suggest I'm incorrect, when the same points could be applied to your claims if one wanted to discredit them.
the reason i don't think ss is going to win many goty awards is based on what i've read/heard on video game sites, ie the people who choose these sorts of things
I think zelda is really popular among older farts, and the critics are usually just that. I am surprised that it's so unpopular in your circles. When I actually stood outside in the cold and waited in line before the store opened to buy SS, the people in the crowd seemed to be of an 'everyone' type. BTW, I haven't had to wait in a line before the store opened to buy a game since TP came out.
