almost bought a 3DS at target earlier, but I guess they don't sell the golden Zelda one? Then I remembered I already have too many games to be distracted with until classes start. I'm guessing they're going to release a "lite" version around the same time the Vita launches to try and compete. Still no word of Animal Crossing's release date, and the pokemon remake of ruby and sapphire still hasn't been "leaked" yet with info. They're totally going to remake RSE for the record.

even the DSi had WPA. the first DS was released too early for that iirc.

my guess is that the redesign is going to be larger. a smaller model is going to have worse battery life and the 3DS's battery life is already bad enough. there's also the matter of the 2nd stick and buttons that (while i don't think they'll put them in), they'd require a bigger device to fit correctly and still keep a decent cost.
also, i don't get why people want the 3DS to be smaller. it is already too small imo and is the same size as a DSlite.
DS Lite is just about the perfect size for a handheld if you ask me. Making it any smaller while having a bunch of extra buttons or controls on it would be a nightmare to try and play comfortably based on the image I have in my head of what that would be like.

i agree that the 3DS is too small, i can barely press a button without pressing the others too...

they should make them a little bigger and more spaced...
Maybe your man-hands are getting too big for your toys?

lol, weren't you guys saying that video games aren't just for kids in the other thread?

also, this isn't true, i have very small hands...

after using a DSiXL, i can't go back. the others are too small and uncomfortable, especially for long sessions.

the form factor doesn't help either. the most comfortable handheld i remember was the original GBA and they don't make handhelds like that anymore with a comfortable form factor.
red chamber dream
the vita looks pretty comfortable but yeah it's hard to beat the original gba. i fucking hate the gba sp because its form factor is just too cramped.

i just hope that back touchscreen don't fuck everything... i usually tap my fingers in the back of the handheld (to music, to the actions, to anything really) and if that thing makes me do something i don't want in-game... i will have very serious problem...
Indie Lover
this music is struck to my head, and it will prolly be for the next months...
also, the video is cool...

One shall stand, one shall ball.
"The video is cool"

*video is anime*

i was watching some tales game's openings and i started thinking how the history of all the games are exactly the same...

there is aways a big tree that help the player/need the player help
there is aways two races/countries/whatever that hate each other and are at war (with the exception of phantasia, i think)

and the hystory of the game revolves around these two things, aways...
this must be why i tales games are getting so stale, for a game that relies heavily on the story, keeping rehashing it will prolly bore the fans sometime...
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
The latest Humble Indie Bundle has been released, and contains some quality games this time (if you don't have them all already).  JamesTown, Bit.Trip Runner, Super Meat Boy, Shank, and NightSky HD.  As usual, you get a bonus for paying over the average.  This time round it's Cave Story+ and Gratuitous Space Battles. aiwebs_004
Club 27 Goals
really glad the above-average games this time around are nothing special at all. The free version of Cave Story is much better imo anyway, and Space Battles seems "meh".

Bit.Trip, Super Meat Boy, and Shank however, seem like pretty neat little games. I hope they enjoy my 5 cents.
Club 27 Goals
oh wow you can't even redeem any of the games on steam this time around? mega lame.
red chamber dream
? i did a few minutes ago
red chamber dream

As you know, we have already collaborated with Retro for the Metroid Prime series in the past. And I think when we talk about any other franchise, Zelda might be a possible franchise for that collaboration.

i kinda doubt they could do much worse than skyward sword
SS isn't perfect, but is it really that bad?  It's poised for GOTY for crissakes.
red chamber dream
ss wasn't bad at all but i've liked several games this year much more. also no site/magazine/etc is going to give it goty over skyrim or portal 2.

gameinformer already rated it higher than skyrim.  not sure what they gave portal 2.
red chamber dream
so have plenty of sites. but it's not going to many gotys.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Zelda will no doubt win some stuff, but Skyrim's popularity is almost plague-like at the moment.
red chamber dream
zelda just isn't the type of game that wins game of the year. that doesn't mean it's not a good game or not the best game of the year.
