i like how they simply give things for free, something the likes of EA and ubisoft would never do
sometime ago they just gave portal for free, made TF2 free to play, released alien swarm for free, and they keep doing free weekends wehre you can play games for free for some days...
and like poision said, they are very open with their fanbase... and they are against this damn intrusive DRM...
I don't care much about Valve games either but I can definitely appreciate how they run their business. Actually trying out new business models to keep up with the times, running a DRM system that doesn't fuck you right up the ass for giving them your money money. Just finding creative, non batshit stupid ways to counter the piracy issue and distribute their product while literally every other developer tries the same archaic nonsense and complain that it's not working and that it's all, in fact, getting worse.
It's kinda risky but it's built them up a loyal as fuck fanbase that'll try anything they put out so it really doesn't matter anymore.
i am too slow for any kind of PVP, i am way more into co-op play...
heh, I've been really into the faster multiplayer games a lot lately, I can't get into any story-driven games at all at the moment. I've even shelved Skyrim for the time being because I can't stand playing games just by myself anymore. I'll probably get over it soon enough.
co-op though is still the best part of gaming for sure, I can get into seriously any game as long as it has co-op and I'm playing it with a friend. Even the abomination called Dead Island was "enjoyable" when I had a bro to play it with.
Hehe. What's even more funny is that most people would look it and immediately think troll, yet you know some muppets started threads all over the internet, where they discussed the story progression, posted in made-up spoilers, of course!
for the record I don't totally agree with that review. Sure, every mario kart is just a copy paste of the previous with some tweaked visuals, but why try to fix what isn't broken? It's a great formula and is always fun from each one to the next. You can't bash Mario Kart for keeping to the same formula but also praise the CoD games, they both are the same when it comes to rehashing the previous titles.
