see saber's post above. also you get to embed youtube etc links in your posts now. but mainly it's just me being a selfish admin and doing what i want to do for reasons you couldn't care less about atm.

as for the png transparency, it's probably gd (graphics library) ... not sure i can do much about it. have to have it to replace the max avatar size mod for this forum (it will automatically resize avatars larger than 120x120 for you - pretty cool imo).

Safari. They go away if you make the window wider. The reverse is also true, obviously. And actually I just realized that it's great in a way-it means unlike most forums, the sidebar width isn't fixed.

The png thing isn't a big deal either, since I don't have an issue with hosting stuff on geocities. But I figured I'd point it out while I was messing with stuff.

BUT I think there's no way around making one on our own for m2k2 (or port this one)...

I also noticed that the SIZE-tags won't work any more.
size=18 has too less arguments, so it should be like this: size=18px

and IMHO the PM-section is a complete gunship...

Based on your test convert, am I correct in assuming that all private messages will remain intact when you roll dis out fo reelz?

I never did get around to backing mine up.

You're right about the text sizing: It looks like this now: Text here They have a button that does it, but it always puts the number in as 10 to begin with, which is the standard size of the text.

Oh boy... it goes all the way up to a 99 size font. (Seems to be a cap at 24 here from what I just tested) Hope nobody uses that very often, if at all.

That's what moderators are for. Same thing with YouTube videos; I'm assuming nate intends for them to mainly be used in SB/speed trick discussion topics; I probably won't be allowing a bunch of them to pop up everywhere. Maybe in the social topic, but that's it.

Good point. Seeing as how we've started relying on YouTube for showing off new and potential tricks, it would make sense. And you're right: I can't see very many places that we'd need to use them otherwise. Although I came across the Portal trailer as a YouTube video in the first page of that topic, so something like that where it's showing off a new game or something along that line is the only real thing I can think of right now.

And even though I pretty much never use PMs, I'd have to agree that the system over there is pretty weird. Especially when I was trying to put in my own name and other suggestions kept popping up in my place.

any in a long list of providers (under "features"). the mod creator worked hard to support as many hosts as possible.

it's probably just a glitch with this theme. it probably won't be the default, and anyway there will be many more for you to choose from even if it is.

welcome back, everyone. as you might have noticed, i had a few issues getting the forum converted for real:

1) that dark theme everyone liked was incompatible with smf 1.1 (it was too old), so we're stuck with this green lights thing for now. please help replace the images or whatever if you are capable of doing that. i'll try to work on what i can work on (fonts etc) tomorrow.
2) email (as in the forum sending you email) is broken atm. i'll try to get it working by the end of tomorrow.
3) the avatar gallery didn't make it.
4) it seems as though posts including any latin extended characters (e.g. üöä) didn't make it. i came close to reverting the upgrade due to this but upon discovering the extent (or lack thereof) of the problem it seems more like i can just copy over the missing posts systematically from the old forum. if you find any you want copied over immediately, please point those out to me.

i'll add to this list and things come up.

Man, this is crazy. And I'm not sure why. (ok, I'm going to go with <arkarian> idk though, the whole thing just looks like lower quality than the old one)

Also the transparency thing is failing after I thought it worked (actually, I should make sure it's not because I'm still playing with a 150x150 size avatar...and what do you know, it was), but I had the good sense this time to at least use 000000 as the transparency color instead of some weird gold. It doesn't matter...still.

Anyway, some nice new features and some things that will hopefully be improved. Now we just need the awesome community of 2+ years ago =p

THE FORUM HAS A BUG!!!!
when i click on (for instance) Boardwalk because I see that there are new posts, the "NEW POSTS" alert on the front page will disappear although I haven't touched a single thread which means that I haven't read them. But they are marked as read. meh
