Okay, I'm not back yet, but almost. Close enough.

If you've finished a Speed Run on VHS or DVD and you want me to capture it with my new equipment, send me an email at nate@metroid2002.com and I'll send you my mailing address, which will be current for another month or so (before I move into my apartment in Lubbock). At that point, I'll make another announcement here (unless someone can figure out a better way to do this).

Also, you can use this topic to recommend runs you'd like me to recapture with the new equipment, if you want. I anticipate that it will blow away anything I've done so far.
Thread title:
Is what I do that terrible?  Crying or Very sad
No, I think Nate's just excited to show off his new capture equipment . . .  arrogant bastard . . .
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
He's also succeded in showing off his ability to not know that HTML and BBCode aren't the same thing. Go Nate!
rotflmao. omg, i dunno why i didn't see that. and radix, this is obviously not personal, as always. just needed to advise people that i'm close enough to being back to send things to me if they want, and also to explain why you might want to send it to me instead of to radix.

Yes indeed ... you know that cable with the yelloe connector that goes from your gamecube into the tv?  You get one of those cables that has the yellow connector on both ends, you put one end into the output of the vcr and the other into the capture card.  Magic ensues  Wink

EIDE is very common AFAIK. At least here in Europe/Sweden :) Dunno what's so special about them though :(
