I got my varia suit statue from First 4 Figures about 5 weeks ago.  In case any of you saw it online but didn't want to shell out $100.00 + $25.00 shipping, take my word for it: it's worth it!  This thing is f***ing awesome.  The thing weighs like 6 pounds and comes off of the base.  The detail quality is high, but not totally perfect since the details are hand-painted in a chinese sweat-shop.
I ordered the gravity suit in December '07, should be here next week.
Both of them are already sold out!  They made 2500 varias and only 250 gravity suits.  You can still find them on Ebay however, just be careful who you buy them from.
First4Figures.com says they are working on a Zero-Suit, Dark Suit, Light Suit, Trace from MPH (why?), and MP2 gunship and I plan on getting all of them.  Judging from how quickly the first two have sold out I recommend ordering 4-6 months in advance like I did.

Here's a pic, I put a JoyRide samus figurine right behind it to give you an idea of how big it is.  Go to First4Figures.com to see some good 360 degree pics of it.

Yep, I got one of those as well. If you're willing to spend that much I'd definitely recommend getting it if you can.

The only other one I was thinking of getting is the Zero Suit, but I'm not 100% sure due to the issues I had regarding the shipping. It took a while for them to finally say they were shipping the thing, and even though it said they would be available in January it at least two months before I got mine.

I have the Zero Suit Exclusive edition on pre-order.  Yeah it does take a while to get them, the gravity suit was seized by customs 5 weeks ago until First4 could prove that they were licensed by Nintendo, I wonder if they had the same problem with the varia.  I say it's definitely worth the wait.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Trace from MPH (why?)
Because not everybody hates Hunters.

Still, if I had the money, I would definitely get the Zero Suit one. Actually, finally getting Brawl would be top priority.

I would never spend one hundred dollars on something as useless as that, but it does look cool.
It's really a Heegoth. :)
Looks cool. I'd buy one and sell it 15 years from now. Lot of money of that.

Yeah, just like with Pokémon cards!!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Speaking of which, I have 24k gold pokemon cards.
I have a lot too. But they've always been worthless.

Speaking of Gold cards, last year they made some LoZ TP trading cards and I spent over $500 trying to get all nine of the gold cards.  I was so happy when I got the last one that I framed them.  These will be worth alot someday.

Theres some guy on Ebay who wants $400 for the whole set.  I could have just bought it from him but I was having alot of fun opening hundreds of packs searching.

Actually I spent over $800, but by selling m doubles on ebay I made back $300.  Some of my doubles sold for over $90.

My 'puter froze when I was doing this post, and now look at it!

Well considering I sold some individual cards for just under $100 when the cards had only been out for 3 months, I disagree.

Yeah, but no one cares about Pokemon cards anymore, and anyone who does prolly has all they want by now anyway.  I used to only be missing one Base Set card (Cahizard), but then my Nidoking (which I'd gotten from the only guy in my o-y-sis's dance class[es]) disappeared on me.  Same as my PKMN Emerald cart... hrm... I also got a gold "card" from some guy on the bus in the span I went to public middle school.  It's pretty scuffed, but it is kinda neat.  Don't remember what i traded it for, but it was prolly some actua cards, so the universal value of it worked out in my favor.

I really don't know anything about Pokemon.  That and most other Japanese pop-culture imports weren't  popular in my time, I don't know anybody over a certain age who cares for anime, or pokemon, etc.  When I was young, seems like the Japanese tried to make things seem western so that they would catch on. Now it seems like they try to make things seem Japanese so that they will catch on.
Anyways, Zelda collectibles have consistently gone up in value and peak a little bit during the first year of a major console title release.  I got a gold triforce zelda GBA in Sweden in 2005, I've seen one of those go on ebay for almost $300.  I also have an OoT jacket that was made the year the game came out and was given as a promo item to the first people who bought the gold edition, I have no idea what its worth.  Someone in England recently sold a rare zelda figurine on Ebay for $600, way more than the $200 that I bid on it.
As far as Metroid goes,  I dont have alot, mainly because there isn't alot out there. I have the JoyRide samus action figure (seen in the background above),  the F4F varia suit figurine (with the others on pre-order), and the issue of  Nintendo Power that featured Super Metroid (which aint worth anything but cool nonetheless) They sold MP3 a day early at Nintendo World Store in NYC and advertised that they were giving out a promo item to the first few hundred people or so, and by chance my roommate was in Manhattan on business.  I made him wait in line early in the morning for two hours.  Turns out all I got was an MP3 Tshirt and a lapel pin that says: "My other suit is CORRUPTED"  (cheesy!)  I felt so ripped-off.
There's a neato Super Metroid pendant on metroiddatabase.com, was wondering if anyone owned one.
Jagger ftw
speaking of cards:
my friend, even thou that he is almost 18, still plays yu-gi-oh, I brought him all god cards and all pieces of exsodia the forbidden for his past few year's birthday, and he was happy as a 8 year old kid got his own roller coaster.
speaking of samus figure:
this one dude made 4 samus vaira suit action figures, hand made, realistic color and very high detailed, sold on ebay from 900$ US to 1.8$ US.... I want it to buy one, but then can't afford it..
Kneel before the great & powerful chOZo
Yes, I remember those, they were totally poseable.  I bid $300 on one of them and was outbid so fast that I said SCREW IT.
The coolest thing I ever saw on ebay was a modded Nintendo Wii that was remade with a Metroid theme.  Now that thing was amazing, went for around $2500 I think.

Jagger ftw
Is the wii really modded (with mod chip) or it just modded the looks?
red chamber dream
Just the looks afaik.
Mister ...
I think that the Zelda-Themed Wii is, by far, the best one ever.  But that's more than likely because I'm such a huge Zelda fan.  :P

I was less impressed with that one because the hylian shield and master sword came from master replicas, I own a pair myself.  The symbol on the wii mod was machined in a metal shop, I remember the auction site had pics of the machine shop showing how much work went into creating it.
Jagger ftw
It would be better if it was a n64 or nes or gba, cause most of the best zelda games are from them.
red chamber dream
Well same for Metroid. That's not the point, though.

And for both series, most of their games are playbale via the Virtual Console or the Wii's BC with the GCN.  Still waiting for some GB/C emulation and a Wii-capable GBP equiv.

UPDATE:  Gravity suit showed up yesterday.  Of course it's just a varia suit with a new paint job, but cool nonetheless.  The posture is just slightly different because they are assembled by hand and apparently the pieces must be lined up with the human eye.  Behold:
