The topic title says it all. What variation of Tetris do you like the most? There are three AFAIK, but I think there might be more. They are as follows:

Tetris: If you don't know how this one is played, you should die. DIE I TELL YOU!

Tetris 2: I don't know much about it, but this snippet of a review I found at GameFAQs gives a good description:
Quote from Emptyeye's review of Tetris 2 at GameFAQs:
Tetris 2 is, well, the sequel to Tetris. IN this game, the Tetrads were 1 of 3 colors. You had to line these colors up, 3 in a row. One of those 3 had to be (Or should have been to move on) a "Bomb" block. If you removed a flashing "Bomb" block, you took out all "Bomb" blocks of that color. Interesting. Let's see how it fares.

Tetrisphere: I'm too lazy too describe it so I'll copy something from another review at GameFAQs:
Quote from Sketch Tucker's review of Tetrisphere at GameFAQs:
Gameplay: Here's where all these Tetris games shine. Forget what you knew about the original Tetris. Whoosh. Bye-bye. This is a new ball game. The object of this game is to use unseen falling pieces to destroy adjacent pieces of the same shape. You'll know your position by the shadow-like figure on the sphere. You can also move some of the pieces currently on the sphere. Keeping these abilities in mind, your objective is to break through the sphere and reach the center, opening up enough room for the fellow inside to escape. The task grows harder in later levels, of course. Besides this method of gameplay, though, different modes are available in the game as well.

Vote!I made this topic because I'm bored.

EDIT: I forgot to say that Tetrisphere is my favorite.

A better explanation of Tetris 2 is that it's basically Dr. Mario with Tetris pieces.

Tetrisphere was pretty damn fun. Just about the only Tetris spin-off bearing the Tetris name that was really much good. (Tetris Attack doesn't really count.)

I liked the Puzzle Mode from Tetris Plus, you know, the one with the little 2x2 guy that you had to get to the bottom before the spiked cieling hit him.  But you can't beat classic Tetris.
The Next Tetris. The one that has the pieces that are actually affected by gravity, so if they aren't connect to other pieces (the same color pieces fuse together), they'll fall untill they land on something. Sometimes this will clear more rows allowing others to fall.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
PANEL DE PON!

Yes, not tetris, but I don't care. Tetris can go to hell. Panel De Pon 4eva.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
What about Tetris Attack?

I'm not a puzzle fan though..I only like Lemmings.
Tetris DX is the best, because the score didn't cap at 999999, it was portable, and it saved your best score. =P
Classic Tetris is best. It never gets old, ever.

By the way, did you ever realize that the "sphere" in Tetrisphere isn't a sphere? It's actually a torus. Just something interesting to think about. I didn't find that game to be that addictive, it was just mildly entertaining. But I could play Classic Tetris for hours.
Yes, nothing beats good ol' classic Tetris. And I'm talking about the old gameboy version. So much fun. I must pull it out again sometime soon. The DX version is pretty good too with the save function and all.

BTW, has anyone here ever played or owned the Tengen version of Tetris? :)

I knew that the "sphere" in Tetrisphere wasn't actually a sphere for a while. However, I didn't know it was actually a torus. I was just about to give H2O Studios the Nobel Prize in physics/mathematics.

Nah, that's not really Tetris. NOA took Panel De Pon, stuck the Tetris name on it, replaced all the faries with SMW2 stuff, and released it.

Oh..so that's what Toozin was talking about.  Never knew what Tetris Attack was called originally.

Tetris Attack is far too awesome to be on the list. Seriously. Best competitive puzzle game ever.

I say Classic Tetris. I have it for the original GameBoy, and it's the only one I own, and I still play it all the time. My record on that game is 586 lines.
This one!

That's actually pretty funny. I like Penny Arcade a lot.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Since we're not counting Tetris Attack (only the best puzzle game ever), I say classical Tetris.  It sits in my old school gameboy (toasterboy) next to my bed, and never comes out.  Tetris.  Oh yeah.

Holy fucking shit, I've never seen so many errors. Well, actually, I've seen one that was like 10x crazier, but...

Good thing I know which one you're talking about.

I just remebered that Blizzard created a "Tetris" map for Starcraft called "Firing Line" or something like that.
lvl 28 Magic Leper
I'd have to say Tetrisphere. It was a fun game to play when you where in a group or when you got bored of any other game.

I have the Tengen Tetris. Only the holy grail of Tetrisdom. <_<

Also, I made an original GB Tetris into a keychain a few years ago. It still works, too!
Have y'all checked out Tetris Worlds? For PC, there's so many variations of the original tetris, you'll never get bored!
