Which is your Favorite?
NES (0)
Super NES (7)
Nintendo 64 (6)
Gamecube (8)
Gameboy (6)
I was thinking about this the other day while trying to find something to play: (AHH!!! It Rhymes!)

Whether it's the games on the system, the controller/# of controllers, the graphics, anything that makes it your favorite.

After some thought, I would have to say the SNES is my favorite:
- It has many of my favorite games on it (Like Super Metroid 8))
- It's the first one I really remember getting (Even though we had a NES at the time)
- The first system that you could SAVE right to the game (Except games like Zelda I)
- And, it introduced the concept of 4 players at once (Multi-Tap)

Edit: Oh, and Gameboy can be any version (Original, Pocket, Color, Advanced, SP)

I chose the GCN, because it's the most state-of-the-art.

Don't make me choose my babies! Why does everyone have to be concerned with the best?! WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST LIVE IN PEACE AND SHARE!!!!!1111111 *goes into hysterics*
I vote GC, because of SSBM mainly. Then there's all the other great games it has.

Plus the fact that you can finally use memory cards. (The N64 ones were crap.)

I was mainly curious about what you guys liked the best. If you don't want to make the choice, that's fine with me. I like all of the systems to an extent, but I chose Super since it has the most memories attached to it: Like meeting Yoshi for the first time. (I like Yoshi too Wink)

snes i like rpg's and sm
*cough* VirtualBoy *cough* No...Seriously. My vote goes to the GameBoy, since it was the system that brought me into gaming. Together with an Amiga 500.
Its a tie between the cube and the SNES.

I honestly can't chose.
I like my GBA, a lot. The Game Cubes are pretty good but don't have that many good games.
I went with SNES, mainly because I loved so many games on it, and the nostalgia related with it is greater than the NES (though I had an NES when it came out *shrugs*). I just seem to carry more memories with the SNES.

The poor N64 doesn't have any lovin... I feel sorry for it.
*gives N64 SSB, Banjo-Kazooie, Paper Mario, and Goldeneye cookies*
Well that's an easy one. I'd go with...er...um...excuse me for a few seconds...

*5 HOURS LATER*

Ok, I've settled on...er...oh yes, Gamecube.

Cause it is teh 1337.
Cube > GBA > SNES > The rest...
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
As soon as they do a damn port of Super Mario 64 to Gamecube, it'll not only be the best Nintendo system ever, but the best system ever period. However, I can't possibly consider a system that can't play Super Mario 64 as being the best system ever. It's getting close though, what with the Zelda games and all.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
SNES.  I have the most memories with that gray box.
Viking
Precursor
Game Boy. Different reasons.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Either my SNES or NES..if it wasn't for my 'adapter' that allows me to play my Super Famicom games, my SNES wouldn't be that high on the list (I almost never play my regular SNES games anymore), and I play my NES games more than my actual SNES games..so..

N64 got boring in around 98 or so..I think I've played mine about 3 times in the last 5 years.

Gamecube I only have 2 games for, so not much going on with that.

And still the Wonderswan Color > GBA to me, so...

But if I can count my SFAM games with my SNES, then that beats out my NES.

Uuuhhh, GB.  All of them.  I have more than twice the amount of GB games than I have on any other system, and it was kinda my introduction to gaming.

Even though I still can't get past the first level of Castlevania.

I hate that game.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Which Castlevania on GB?

I beat the very first one..and the first GBA one but those're all I played.

Yeah, I'm talking about the very first, original-GB one.  You're too good at absolutely everything.  Must be that extra X chromosome...
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
I guess...theres tons of things I suck at though, so dunno if anything balances out.  More bad at stuff than good kinda stinks.

Haha, if you hated the first level, LOL don't get to level 3..that is soooooooo frustrating (I think its level 3).

There's only 4 levels to it, but after awhile you get better; the learning curve reminds me of Battletoads for the NES..play through and get to level 9..5 replays later you make it to level 10, 5 replays later you get to level 11...that's kinda how the CV was too.

I'll retry it some time.  I can sometimes get to the boss, but he just = death.  And that bit with those platforms and the bat(s) REALLY annoys me.  Add to that the rolling eyeballs o' doom, and you get a very frustrated version of me.

Don't remind me about that... I remember the farthest I ever can get in that game is about lvl 10/11, but that is on a REALLY good day

Speaking of games like that, any of you guys ever played Blaster Master for the NES? I swear that game is going to make me go insane! (I played it a bit a few days ago: Farthest I can make it is to the end of area 5 of 8, and that's just since I played it again) Insane difficulty since you only get something like 12 lives to go through the entire game I think Evil or Very Mad (3 Lives, and then 3 Continues each with 3 more lives if I recall)

Once again, I contribute to getting someting even further off topic...  Embarassed

(Oh wait, this was MY topic  Embarassed  Embarassed  Embarassed )
I remember BattleToads. We got to level 4 once I believe. That was a cinch compared to 3... The ride thing was sickening. Hmm, sdkess should go speed run that game :D
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
I remember when I was trying to beat Battletoads (I did eventually and went through a couple times) that on the 3rd level with the flying things that you rode, I used to be at the far right edge of the screen and go through because I had them so memorized...those were the days.  :(

Man fuck Blaster Master, I always got bored in that at like level 5 or something.
