I see how it is. Whoever voted for fusion is afraid to come foreward because he knows he will be hunted down and killed. I honestly don't blame him.
Well, if I could vote again, I'd do it for Fusion. What's so wrong against that? I didn't quite like Prime, and you don't see me bashing it everywhere I go. So what would you do against me, just because I let my opinion be known?
Quote from RoboBlob:
P.S. Fusion Sucks.
Prove it with valid points, taking aside your obviously biased feelings for Prime. I challenge you. As I said above, I didn't like Prime at all, but I don't bash it everywhere I go. So please, I'd suggest you do the same. Thank you for understanding.
I realize I am probably the only person in the world whose favourite Metroid game is Metroid II. I know it's not the best Metroid game, or anything, but it was the first videogame I ever beat, back when I was still in elementry school, and since then it has always held a special place in my heart. It was the game that made Samus my favourite videogame character. It was the first game I repurchased after my gameboy and all my games were stolen. It was the first game that made me apreciate level design. And omega metroids still make me jump when I run into them.
It is probably just nostalgia talking, I know, but I still love M2 dearly. Every once in a while, I'll spend an afternoon playing through it again. It's just so much fun.
Anyways, I know I'm just a small voice in the deafening argument between Super and Prime. I just felt I needed to, you know, support my personal Metroid game.

actually an under-appreciated part of the human experience. i too have my games that pique my nostalgia-bone, but those are best left for a more on-topic moment. ;)
Prime for me. atmosphere is just better than every other metroid, combined with everything else that you could read the reviews about the game for, Prime is undoubtedly my fave game of all time.
which of course, makes it my fave metroid of all time. ...Super is close behind.
Super Metroid is the best, with Prime close behind.
The reason which boosts Super the little bit ahead: The music in SM is far superior to the one in Prime. I even think that many tracks of Prime dont fit to the "metroid-style" at all (e. g. the track that always plays when space pirates appear or this funky piece which plays in Pendrana)!
They should have reused the music "item room" and the track of Maridia that plays when you are in the glass tube which you can destroy with a power bomb. I miss the "tension" in most of primes tracks.
But all in all the music of Prime is not bad, just not comparable to Super ;)
Super Metroid for me. A pleasure all the way through. Time to add Zero Mission to the list too now, isn't it? But then I guess a new poll would be better... I imagine ZM is the #1 for some people right now... Or at least it will be.
Prime was intriguing but I just had far too many crashes to even be able to enjoy it. I exchanged copies twice and just gave up. I didn't really care for my GC to have it looked at by Nintendo as possibly being the culprit so I never got around to even finishing Prime. Maybe someday though.
Well, I know MY list very well. Something VERY special has to pop up in order to knock the king and queen off of my list.
1. Super (3) 2. Prime (5) 3. Zero Mission (6) 4. Metroid (1) 5. Fusion (4) 6. Return of Samus (2)
Most likely, Prime 2 will end up between Zero Mission and Metroid 1. Unless there's some sort of miracle, and it ends up knocking Zero Mission off the top-3... But then again, it's all just opinion... You know, for an awfully undecisive person, I sure know what I think about the Metroid games...
