I love the plasma and hyper beams.
The power beam was the same as usual, but I liked how there was some blue in the shots this time around. Probably not phazon related though.
The plasma was awesome, rapid firing it kinda looks like a stream of fire, the charge shot looks like a sun or something, and I love the sound of releasing a charged shot. The charging sound needed a rumble sound or something similar. The high pitched whine doesn't sit right with me, especially after mp1.
Nova.... is ok. My fave color is red, and I hate green.
The hyper beam is awesome. A charged shot kills almost anything. It sounds great too. if you charge it just a little, the shot kinda sounds like its spraying out of the cannon, but if you fully charge it, it really blasts out.

It actually isn't that powerful. In fact a charged shot of Plasma is more powerful. Hyper just has the advantage of being "charged" at the moment of firing which means more shots. That is why I think Hyper beam in the Prime games is more realistic since it actually is more powerful. Although the rainbow effect in Super is better.

Nova- Just feels cool. I just love how the charge shot has that force thing coming through it like it's a meteor or something. Also the penetrating thing's pretty cool too.
Hyper- not much too say, it just feels cool, especially with the charge (however, i rarely use it)
Power: The second i started playing, I was in pure awe of the new power beam. Instead of shooting just yellow balls of energy, you fired alternatively blue and yellow shots. I always thought the power charge beam look kinda chhesy in MP1&2, but it just looked awesome in this game.
Plasma- it's cool, but i dont like it as much as the others. at first, i thought it was cool that you could fire rapidly, but the slower MP1 version is cooler. Also, I hated how when you fired a charge beam Samus made the sound like she was getting hurt.
