To avoid any IUniverse-like problems, I simply put my fan theories of Metroid Prime Hunters on this board...
I believe that the bounty hunter Spire has the ability to magnetize and fuse with rock masses in his alternative and biped forms respectively. The Dialanche uses rock magnetism abilities to move up along walls and to perform the mechanics its titanium blade attack. The biped form uses rock fusion traits to enhance defense against enemies and to have a camouflage ability in rocky environments. Rock fusion and magnetism is an untold ability of Spire's in the more obvious content of Metroid Prime Hunters.
The mechanics of the Dialanche's titanium blade attack and wall climbing ability work due to Spire's rock magnetism abilities. Once the titanium blade attack is activated the rocky armor of the Dialanche will break off, but will swing about the Dialanche and will then retract. It can be said that a magnetism ability allows the titanium rock pieces to swirl about the Dialanche to bombard rivals and allows them to retract after threats retreat. The magnetism trait would continue its benefits by allowing the Dialanche to climb walls of an earthly nature.
Rock fusion abilities allow Spire to buff up his defense and to stay camouflaged in the field. Spire, whether the game's mechanics support it or not, would have better defensive traits than most bioforms due to his rocky composition in biped form. This bulk of defense can be supported by the somewhat slow movements of the Dialanche alternative form. Spire's rocky infused composition helps camouflage the hunter in sandy and mountainous environments, such as: Alinos Perch, High Ground and Alinos Gateway.
The importance of the rock magnetism and fusion abilities is where they can be taken in future Metroid games or in a series revolving around the hunter Spire. A game could have Spire using his rock fusion ability to create rock-like swords at the end of his arms for melee combat. Spire could use his rock magnetism ability to attract and repel small boulders as a projectile blast attack. Perhaps, Spire could even create walls of rock for shielding purposes with his magnetism. The possibilities that these two abilities can take in the future are wide open for Spire.
