Annoying
Still havn't thought of a name for it, but it is ment to be the ultimate Super Metroid challenge! There's going to be acid and spikes everywhere, weak enemies that can kill you in one hit, and the craziest and most evil tricks developed on the planet! And I only just finished Crateria! However, I'm almost done with Brinstar, so it's probably going to be done by April.
Thread title:
Samus...? Is that you?
So, you're going to make Super Metroid Impossible look piece of cake? aiwebs_014
Just letting you know (referring to your screenshots for anyone who cares to unzip pictures):
1) 1 = Player can spin jump into that spot and (without morphball) get wedged permanently.  Players hate getting wedged.
2) 5 = I hope both those eyes can't come on at the same time.  If they do, the system won't be happy.
3) 7 = If that enemy still moves as it normally would, then when it swoops down towards you, samus will go into the floor and (if she stops grappling) will get wedged permanently.

I keep in mind, of course, that my feedback is only valid if my assumptions about things running as they normally would is still true.

Annoying
Actually:
1: That corner is NOT a slope. I noticed that lots of times, so I changed it to a solid block.
2: Okay, thanks for the info there. The left one never opened, and I wondered why there was even two eyes in the first place. That could also explain when you fall through the blocks the game lags.
3: Actually, it doesn't work. I tried hard to get through the floor but the deepest I got was enough for me to jump out (though you would die before you could think anyway)

There's also an energy tank at the other side of the lake, but you can't enter the wrecked ship until the very end.

Not really, it would probably match in comparison. My goal is to make it extremely hard without making it too complicated to find your way around.

Never said it was a slope.  Said you can get stuck there.  Do a spin jump towards it and you'll see what I mean.
OMG FLAN!!!!!!!
Yeh but if it isn't a slope, but a solid block, it would act like a normal morph tunnel with square ends. The slope only looks like a slope, but it isn't actually a slope.

Thus it would be impossible to spin jump in there, unless the height of samus while spin jumping has changed from 2 to 1.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
But there is a two-block high gap before the slope, regardless of the sloping tile's BTS.  That's where you'd get stuck.

Let this kill the argument about whether or not you can get stuck, so that the hack can progress onto newer unexplored territory.  The video below (linked, not embedded, because I see no reason to upload it to YouTube) shows me getting stuck in a 2-high gap in a room that has no slopes anywhere in the room.

Getting stuck has nothing to do with slopes.  Also, Samus's height will never be "1".  It's measured by the radius.  When morphed, she's got a height of 7.  Double it and you get 14, so she can fit into a tile 16 pixels high.  While spin jumping, her height is 12.  Double it and you get 24... She'll easily fit into a gap that's 32 pixels high.  When she lands though, she goes into the squat position... 16 (doubled to get 32).  32 pixels high in a gap that's 32 pixels high... That is why she gets wedged.  If there was a slope there, she'd probably be able to actually wriggle her way free (eventually).

Oh wait, I just checked the picture again. Yes you'll get stuck. I thought the tunnel started with a slope.

By height I meant number of 16x16 blocks approx. I never knew the exact values, but now that I do, I could make some interesting puzzles... grin new
