Considering the recent discovery of a rapid-fire missiles method, would it be more feasible to use those rather than Supers for bosses on Hard mode, when there are no Accel Charges?
It's probably preferable in certain situations and not in others.
It's probably faster to use it on the Metroids who only take 3 missiles instead of the standard 5 they take in most cases.
Defeating Griptians quickly:

This may already be known, but the Asboreans (the guys in Pyrosphere where you need to pull their head out of their shell) will extend their head when they try to grab you while sliding around. If you hit them with a charge shot during this, I'm pretty sure it immediately stuns them.

Also, although it's not very useful, I think that pulling their head out doesn't interrupt a charge, so you can have a charge ready to kill them.

I find missile + lethal strike is fastest for Griptians. Although I didn't know you could lethal strike them at the right moment without having to stun them first.
Is there any way to make them get stuck so you can lethal strike them, or is it just random?
Seems like you have to do it when they are turning around or something.

It's fingers were stuck in the ground.

You have to first find a way to make that reliable.
...In that case the only place to take advantage of it would be rooms where you fight multiple Griptians at the same time, because if there is only one, you could just missile it. It think it occurs when it dives at you.
Missiling Griptians is the fastest way to take them down (to me at least).

Both correct. The other way to stun it is to hit that underbelly orb enough times; eventually it'll stand there panting with its head out, and you can Lethal Strike. I'm not sure which method is better. Sometimes it uses its "alt-form" a lot, so you don't get a chance to hit the orb; on the other hand, sometimes it doesn't stay in alt-form long enough for the head to come out. Hopefully one of the two methods can be made reliable.

Returning to the Rhedogian, a.k.a. that guy I insist on calling Dr. Octopus, I've decided those who recommend uncharged shots have a point. They don't do a lot of damage, but definitely enough to be worth using. The fastest method overall seems to be charged shots after every two Sensemoves or during the purple beam, and throwing in uncharged shots any other time. (Of course you also do the missile/Lethal Strike thing if he's dumb enough to use the red beam.) In my last any%, this method made him fly off almost instantly after the elevator ride.

Teen Ridley pulled a new one on me today -- he took a break from tail attacks and just bit the hell out of me. It seems to work like enemies that pounce on you, i.e. button-mash to escape, but I wonder what triggered it. Maybe you have to miss his tail a lot. (I was really sucking at the time.)
Yeah. He bit me ONCE. I never saw him bite ever again.

For the Rhedogian, make sure he is frozen before you perform the lethal strike on him, it does alot more damage that way.

Wow. I've never had that happen to me. Now I want to go try it.

On another note, when you start the Ridley battle the first time, you're missing the five missiles from blasting the magma eruption port. But if you die and continue, you start the battle with all your missiles. This is probably only useful in a hard mode run, so that you can use two supers on him without concentrating.

About the Rhedogian: In the fight by the elevator (not during the elevator ride), you can use the part of the elevator that's still intact to stop his dives (he'll run into them, but won't go through them or anything). They will also block about half his seeker missiles, too.

Edit: Is there any way to make the Rhedogian reliably land fast in that same fight? I've had fights where it took him forever to land, and some fights he lands right at the beginning.

fighting the rhedogians is a luck game... they are completely random on this aspects...

about griptians, they stuck their finger on the ground after you dodge a pounce attack, and they pounce you after they get blasted with a chaged shot while in ball form... at least, this seems to aways work with me, but only with their first evolution, the barbed one seems to have other strategy...

Its a little off topic, but I found an easier way to defeat Ridley on Hard Mode.
When he hovers in the air and tries to whip you with his tail, it is a lot easier to morph and roll around instead of trying to get lucky with your Sense Moves. While rolling, you can charge up your PBs and as soon as you unmorph, a fully charged shot will fire at him. Not sure about other player's stratedgies for this fight, but this sure helped me.

lol no way
I think death abuse does carry a time penalty though (like, at sda I mean obviously), and I personally am okay with it. Funny though that that's the case.
Lucky with your sense moves? You can do a sense move as early as possible and still avoid it easily. You just have to make sure you don't fire at him too early and get hit by the tail.
Phoenix
During the tail-stabs, the game slow-motions for a second before each stab, giving you plenty of time to sensemove.

Or you could just mash the D-Pad.  I beat Ridley second try mashing D-Pad and pelting with Charge Shots.

Yeah, the tail stabs are pretty easy to dodge by just mashing. (Still, I managed to die a bunch of times by stopping too soon and getting hit.) Does anyone know the max number of lethal strikes on him? I can manage two by getting the first one and then supering him out of rage mode. Does he give you a chance every time a quarter of his health is down (e.g. 3/4, 1/2, 1/4)?

On an un-Ridley note, is overblasting the Wave Pirates any faster than charge shots?
For Ridley, I tend to blast him until he's stunned and then LS him, and when he's in the middle of transforming into his black form I hit him with a super. Do that twice and the battle is pretty much over. I think he needs to be on the ground though when you stun him for that to work, otherwise you just have to keep shooting.

And the Wave pirates are the red ones right? I've found that uncharged shots are pretty effective on them, actually. You can take them out in about 6 shots I believe. (Haven't played the game in a few weeks though, so I could be wrong.)

I'm pretty sure in all cases Overblasts do more damage than a simple Charge Shot.

I discovered today what Prime Hunter just mentioned -- the fact that Black Ridley is vulnerable the instant he transforms. If you miss that window, you'll have to wait a sec, because he always opens with the "nuke the battlefield" attack. I always figured he was immune till that little ritual was done. But nope, you can knock him out of black mode right away (he may have to be on the ground, I'm not sure, but that's where he'll be anyway in an optimal fight).

Speaking of that attack, something to watch out for: Ridley's colour-change animation is one of many in the game that steal camera focus without actually pausing the action. If he's changing when the nuke hits the ground, you'll have to dodge blind. You've probably seen the same thing happen with groups of enemies; one of them will die from a Lethal Strike or something, and you'll realize you're getting hit in the meantime. This can actually be used for speed in some cases. Today I killed the last Diffusion robot from the opposite side of the room, but ran over while it was dying, and Samus's boots appeared onscreen at the same time as the Diffusion upgrade.

I jump the tail stabs. It actually works pretty well.
ANKOKU
The first Tree Spider has the "non game pausing" cutscenes as well.
