MP2 also a bit MP1 speedrunning
well, so im currently speedrunning MP2 100% segmented, though i got a problem with encoding/recording or whatever.
im using amarec, anri-chan and a avermedia H727 (doesnt really matter which capture card i use, though)

anyways, finally got everything to work and then something really stupid happened.
so i started doing testrun attempts and finally finished a decent attempt and tried to go ahead and encode it.

anyways, the output video is not deinterlaced and its 640x480 at 60 FPS.
so out of amarec i got a AVI file, i tried to encode it and this happened: as i finally finished encoding, i checked the video (HQ quality) and noticed that there was a weird jerking effect as explained here:

Field Dominance

This question is a tough one. You will most likely not know the answer if this is your first time using Anri-chan with your DVD recorder. If you make the wrong choice, then your encoded video will display a rapid jerking effect. This effect is probably best described in numbers: a video normally plays its frames in order, like this: 1, 2, 3, 4. If you make the wrong choice at the Odd Dominant question, then your video will play its frames as follows: 2, 1, 4, 3. This is obviously unacceptable, and you will have to run Anri-chan again, this time answering the other way. However, once you know whether your DVD recorder is odd dominant or not, you should never have to worry about this question again.

If you are recording using a PAL DVD recorder, there is more of a chance your video will be odd dominant than if it were an NTSC DVD recorder. However, PAL DVD recorders often make even dominant (the opposite of odd dominant) video, as well, so watch out.

Note that field (odd or even) dominance is irrelevant for F2 video. It is only important for F1 and F3 video. That is, if you are encoding F2 video, you will not see this question.

so, the frames are, for some reason plaed in the order 2,1,4,3 and not 1,2,3,4 like it should be.

anyways, i used to record at 720x480, but the video and audio tend to unsync the further i got into the recording, the 640x480 resolution-change, somehow fixed it. though now theres this jerking effect problem.

also i noticed, for some reason the video, which should be deinterlaced after encoding, isn't..... that doesnt really make sence to me. anything i could do to fix this? Crying or Very sad

man, what a great feel, ordering a capture card for 180 bucks, waiting 2 weeks for the delivery, finally getting everything to work after hours of pain and suffering trying to set-up everything and in the end the recording just doesnt work properly....
