i think it's entirely possible. according to this page on the mzm section, you need to follow that path. well, i've beaten mzm numerous times, and i've never found myself going this way. so, this leads me to the conclusion that an emu-less hard 9% run on the American version of the game is 100% possible.
Thread title:
Yeah, because the people who have been taking the game apart for the last two years must've just overlooked it. :P

Are you saying you've beaten the game on hard and without power bombs or screw attack numerous times? Because while I don't have the map in front of me and can't watch the videos from here I'm pretty sure that path is necessary because you don't have either of those in low% AND some save rooms are missing in hard mode so there's no way to refill missiles.
i'm saying i've beaten the game on numerous difficulties and numerous ways. but it could be entirely possible. PLUS, you don't even get the power bombs until you're right at Meta Ridley.
Okay.  Tell us what you do to get through this part with only two missiles.

see that pirate at 1,2,3? kill him. pray to your selected diety that he leaves behind a missile refill. if he doesn't, turn off and start again.
...

Pirates don't leave missile refills.  Nor do bombus.  The *only* way to get missile refills in Chozodia is to use a save station.

then why do they leave missiles for me?

Because you have been proven that you are wrong and you are incapable of admiting it. That's why you continue claiming that you are not wrong.
They don't leave missiles behind. Face it.
you like to bash people, don't you?

It's called "Stating The Truth" around here.
...well please stop stating the truth.

As you wish, sir.
um...thanks? :?
would need video proof to proceed from here.

you must teach me the secret behind getting space pirates to drop missiles. i would love to incorporate that into my next run.
...how can i put this...you shoot them, they die, you grab stuff.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Only problem with that is, as much as we would like them to, Chozodia enemies still do not drop missiles.
So unless you have video evidence that can prove otherwise your theory doesn't hold water.
i feel so alone in arguments...sorry. no capture card/webcam/whatver.
I'll be back. Maybe...
do it on an emu and vmu it. or just get a camera and take a picture of the screen with the pickup in a chozodia room
no scanner, no digital camera. dammit! i'm screwed...

I don't know anything about whether or not there are missile drops from the pirates...

but i'm really anxious to see how long this argument goes on or if there is going to be video proof done an an emu!

hahaha

Obviously, you have been choosing...poorly.

Hmm...I just realized...MZM was released in Japan after being released in Europe.  Why, then, is the 9% "fix" absent in that version?
