I never really knew that you could shinespark through those green things XD But yes, I have to agree that this is definitely an early missile tank, because otherwise, you'd have to wait until the screw attack.

I always assumed you were supposed to spark through those things, I did so on my first play-through

I didn't actually. I didn't even know you could destroy them until after I got the Screw Attack, and I always thought that you could not get past them as well :/ Plus, I suck at shinesparking, which can be seen in this video I posted on YouTube: I am posting this only to demonstrate my suckiness with shinesparking.

I got my fastest time on this game several years ago when I played through this game like three times in a row, and that tank and another annoying Power Bomb Tank were actually surprisingly easy, but now...my god...

You can actually get it SO much earlier. You know the first early one? Well. Go to that room, Morph in the hole (both after lowering the water level, of course!) and go all the way right. Neither the Kago cage nor that infaltable thing is blocking it. Those come in around when you get the Diffusion Missiles.

i think maybe he's talking about the first kago cage? because you can't get the one on the right anyway without the gravity suit.

Yes, BioSpark, and I was hoping I'd see a reply from you anyway. And the Kago is there instead of on the right around when you get the Gravity Suit. (BTW, great TASing! I've been begging my parents to get me the Super Metroid emulator so I can try)

Oh, and Razorflame? I had a LOT of trouble getting that Energy Tank! I failed like 50 times before I finally got it. You've got to have precise timing...That one sucked.
