Hi there.  While reading through the tanks that you have that are listed as early, there are a few that aren't listed as early, but can easily be gotten through the use of certain tricks:

First of all, why aren't the Hi-Jump Boots listed as early when you can get them right after you get into Norfair and get the Ice Beam?  I know you are not supposed to get the high-jump boots until MUCH later on in the story.  You have to use the trick to descend the right side of Norfair to get them early.

Secondly, wouldn't ALL of the missile tanks that you can reach after going through the right side of Norfair right after getting the Ice Beam count as early?  There's the one you find on the way down, and on your way up to the Hi-Jump Boots, there's this one:

@5:32 that you can get using the Infinite Bomb Jump.

Not sure if these count as early items, but there you go.

Cheers!

I think when 'early' is normally used, it refers to an item that benefits a speedrun, such as getting an item you don't have before you're supposed to get it / them.  I think once you've got an item that has expansions, then any expansions after that are not really considered early.
Quietus: What about the Hi-Jump Boots?  By going through the right side of Norfair and using that trick, you definitely are getting them early.
the site's not going to get updated anyway

But is it beneficial to a speedrun?  I'm not that well-versed in Zero Mission to know, but this site was built around speedrunning, so they would only be listed as early if they helped a speedrun.

we've had this discussion before though, how the right side of norfair is "intentional sequence breaking" put into the game. doesn't really count as actual sequence breaking, so any items obtained that way aren't "early"

Ah well, I'll still always consider them early in my mind.
