Do you think the chozo are extinct or not?

I definetly do not think the chozo were wiped out contrary to many metroid fans, I think due to numerous pirate raids on Zebes and the Leviathan on Tallon IV forced them to relocate to a different universe, never to return to their homelands.

well technically they werent chozo homeworlds, they were colonies. so when taken that into account you could assume that they just "went home"

Higher plane of existence literally means they don't exist in this dimension anymore.

The difference between extinction and transcendence is one can occur at any time, the other only through evolution.

Yes, but they didn't die, which means they are not extinct. I guess transcending through evolution in their case simply means they no longer required a corporeal form, and therefore also don't require a planet or homeworld.

Well, I never thought of them as GONE completely, I thought they were just scarce, like Native Americans. But I could be wrong.

wasn't the main reason of them going extinct their overreliance on technology and their inability to reproduce after that? the remaining ones were all old.
