What do you mean advertising?  Like, putting a link in your sig?  That much is fine.

Oh and Don't tell me I suck, chances are, If I do suck, I suck a great deal less than you.

Life is like a dick, when it gets hard f*** it.

Ready and willing.
Age was simply disabled by nate. I can see my Friend Code in this topic just fine.
Speedrunner
Oh i see your profile Friends code working. But why age are disapled? What is reason?
red chamber dream
nate felt there was no point. The feature will be reimplemented in phpBB 3.0, due out soon (lol).
too many people were putting random crap in there and imo it's too private to ask people to put in anyway. don't see why everyone should have to look at lies all the time.

The fucking censors are gone. Honestly, it doesn't really seem like it helps or matter much anymore, no matter how funny they are. Don't abuse the privilege or I'll moderate the heck out of you.
Wow... that threw me for a loop for a moment when I read that.

I thought I saw someone using them here a few days ago though. Maybe it was just my imagination... or else a post from before the cross over.
red chamber dream
The censors were just removed today. Am fairly sure all the old posts will keep their censors, though you might want to check back and see if I'm correct.

And of course, you're still welcome to use the censored versions of naughty words if you so desire.
What the flickerbat was wrong with the censors?
Cook of the Sea
It's retarded to have censors on a forum.
red chamber dream
Especially on a forum dedicated to breaking the rules and yadda yadda whatnot.
Stuffs. Yar.
Although it'll confuse the gunship out of new members when they try to understand the controversy behind the whole IS/Flickerball thing. :P

Does this mean we can quote Kevin Smith movies now?  laugh new

Seriously, I would like to suggest that the powers-that-be impose a ban on using strong language in topic names at least.  While I would like to believe it shouldn't be a problem, it'd probably be best if there was an official policy just in case.  If I may put forward a slice of personal philosophy...
Cook of the Sea
Just in case what?
red chamber dream
Don't think it'll be a problem (I don't have an issue with some coarse language in topic titles), but a policy won't be added until there's a need.

He's referring to when IS was found and DJGrenola called it flickerball at some point, but the name didn't stick because Master ZED thought it sounded too much like flickerbat.
red chamber dream
Oh, infinite speed. Carry on, then.
yeah
What's flickerball? And what controversy?

*is a confused n00bish fucktard*

Stuffs. Yar.
... Now I'm curious as to what you thought I meant. :P

Slightly more on-topic, though, I think that "Flickerbatting gunship" is just more fun to say than the uncensored version... and going by some of the old posts (the autocensored ones became decensored) At least a few people agree with me. :P

EDIT: ING-X, here should answer your question.
red chamber dream
Heh, yeah, I think people just starting typing "flickerbat" into their posts. Don't think I ever did that (as I think it's lame), but I would type "flickerbatting" or "gunshippiest" if I needed it to be an adjective.
