I believe DS and SA-X are female.  DS is a dark version of Samus and SA-X is an X-clone of Samus, and we all know that Samus is female.  Some have said that these other versions of Samus are supposed to be her opposites, and are therefore male, but does that also mean that the genders of all other dark version creatures are switched?  Do the X only clone in the opposite gender of the organism from which they obtained the DNA?  I'm trying to think of why it is generally thought that both of them are male.  Is there some in-game dialogue or text in an official manual that declares them as male?  Discuss.

Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Metroid Prime was able to spawn Metroids, making her female. I assume Dark Samus is still biologically similar enough that that's still the case.

Unless I'm mistaken, X seem to reproduce asexually, making SA-X neither male nor female.

I suppose a case could be made for Prime also reproducing asexually since we're not given any indication of Metroid mating habits or shown a male Prime could mate with. There's also the Phazon Metroids, which clearly divide asexually right in front of you. I'd chalk them up to an extreme mutation caused by the intense Phazon radiation in the core. On SR388 they needed a Queen to spawn, but it could be less a female Metroid and more that only the final stage of their evolutionary chain can generate young, although that seems counterproductive to survival. They are artificially created by the Chozo though, so evolutionary advantage is out the window.

Either way, SA-X is definately an 'it' and Dark Samus is either 'she' or 'it', but I always refer to them as 'she' regardless.

I just put way too much thought into this.
like toozin said, for sure the sa-x is an 'it'. i'm almost positive the sa-x is refered to as an 'it' in the game.

I think the Pirate lore in Corruption uses "she".

I went with "it" for my Echoes speedrun commentaries.

It's not like metroids have any natural predators anyway, more young would be a liability.
I am always happy :)

That is most likely true. X parasites have no genders, meaning that the SA-X, which is just a big cluster of X, has no gender as well.
So the case that SA-X is an it has been made.

I don't think that MP would be female, as she would have to be fertilized to produce young, and you don't see any male Metroid Primes around.  Uless MP did it with one of the little ones..... aiwebs_007
And DS was only made from the remnants of MP and the Phazon suit.  Therefore DS is not female or male.

Yes, but it was never clarified whether the things they mimicked had genders or not.

Sir, may I direct you to the deep sea angler fish?
EDIT: "nagler" fish...
Well, those are marine creatures.  We all know that those Aquatics are perverted.  Like how sharks reproduce through rape.

I don't really see that we can call it 'rape', since the animal world is full of animal species reproducing by the dominant male having his way.  The animal is looking to reproduce anyway, whereas 'rape' is usually about power-tripping, rather than sexual gratification.
The person being raped has to be unwilling.  We can't read their minds.  Besides, it looks kinda hot to me.

This topic is moving in a frightening direction.
Wow, Toozin, you're right.  I was about to voice my opinion on statuatory rape.

Now that we're ff topic I'm going to post all the smilies that I can somehow relate to sex. Brick wallaiwebs_025Liarwinkywhoa (@c.bags)

Surely you realize that you must now explain exactly how each one of those smilies 'can somehow relate to sex'.  Start with the one on the left and go right.  We're waiting.
i get all of them except the first one.

I think he's interpriting it as that smiley giving it to the wall hard.
Exactly.

The second one, at least for me, is a "one-eyed monster," the third has errected wood, the fourth is suggesting sexual relations to a potential partner, and the last is more or less self-explanatory.

Hmmm.  I don't get it.  I think you have to explain it.

It could be many things, namely a woman that is enjoying the experience, or a woman ready to oralizeTM.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
It's clearly a story.  The husband is trying to break in, to fight with the one-eyed trouser python belonging to his lying, pervy neighbour, who's been ogling his Mrs for ages.
