hey i just firgured out how to navigate the crashed frigate without needing the gravity suit. at the point were it says "progress hindered by watery invironment. suit augmentation is requiered to advance", you CAN ghetto jump over the area that hold the energy tank. it takes a few tries. now getting up that damn slope is another story. you can jump on the first platform, but after that its ghetto jump-0-rama. for those of you who dont know what getto jumping is, http://www.metroid2002.com/techniques_ghetto_jump.php
that should explain it.

the last part is tricky. at the first aqua reaper, shoot him and ghetto jump on to that platform. then you have two choices. you can jump and let the reaper hit you, which will send you flying upward and let you stop on a little ledge near the next platform, OR you can simply go into a morph ball and ball boost your way up. after this you must ball boost up to the last platform. you cant boost past it; there is a barrier preventing this. you have to boost until you are under it. use bombs to move to the left of the platform. now, notice there is a beam under this platform. bomb yourself ontop of it, then bomb yourself little by little up the beam and onto the last platform.

after this, its not possible to jump in any way to get out of the water. you must simply charge your ball boost to the max and aim up. then let it loose and you shoot up and onto the edge of the top where thr door is. oh dont forget to activate the power conduits on the way up!!!!!!.

no screenshots, i have no means by which to make them. sorry. but this really works.

sorry for the double post, but its important. i dont recommend doing the above. i just got stuck. the hydro access tunnel will screw you because of the water flow. itll shoot you up and up and theres no way down.

This can even be done on Players' Choice version (I've done it).

I didn't realize you could ball boost up that one slope though. That's pretty neat. I just IBJed the entire distance like in the vid. You should definitely check out all the videos here.

And...sorry to burst your bubble, so to speak.
Kip famously went through the entire crashed frigate without the gravity suit back in the early days of Metroid Prime sequence breaking. I'm not 100% sure about this but I suspect it was the only way to skip gravity until the Great Tree Hall bars DBJ was discovered.
oh ive seen most of the vids here. thats how i learned about secret worlds, or atleast how to get in one. so far the only one i have been in is the one in the ice ruins east.

The fact that no beta testers figured that out is borderline pathetic. Like... c'mon, now.
have to ghetto to get up there.

wow. o_O

how? did he bomb his way out of that top area, or did he just go through the side with good timing?
“Well done is better than well said”
